"Recently had a first time wood stove insert installed in early February by a local company. All seemingly good. One morning while enjoying my coffee, it was a partly cloudy day but the wind exceptionally windy. Then moments later, I heard a big crash on our roof. After inspection, 1 of the the Chimney Caps (blue stone) separated and blew off! Yikes! I wanted to get it repaired, as well as finally fix the leaking when it rained hard dripping down the fireplace. Called this company/ left my message. Wow! They called me after hours and made a date to take a look. They arrived as promised and instantly was able to move the other side of the blue stone cap which was wider right over the new stove pipe and in addition they flashed all around the chimney! It's been raining with no leaks, and windy and so far the cap remains! Both Cristian, and Chris were incredibly helpful and the price was very fair! I hope that I won't need further work, but if I do, I'll be calling Eastern Chimney! Thank you! Thank you!"

"I really want to give a good review, but can't. Mark was responsive on booking the appointment and when the crew was going to be late they communicated well. When the guys arrived, they were very nice, but...... I was quoted a price for chimney cleaning based on two flues. I was not told it was an extra 3% for credit card payments. My chimney was never cleaned,, despite the fact it hasn't been cleaned in 10 years. Given this is a brick fireplace, I would have thought it would have been swept to remove creosote build-up. I paid cash ($354) to have the chimney "inspected" with a flashlight. When I asked for a receipt, I was told Mark would text or email me one that day. So far I have heard nothing. He won't answer the phone or respond to my email. The whole experience feels like a scam and it is my intent to report this to the Better Business Bureau."
