"From Northern California randomly picked this place for eight days in a New England Fall Season. Three hundred acres with only a few cabins to share the hiking trails and Wild Goose Pond. For our first few days starting 26 September, we were the only guests. We chose the Oak Leaf Lodge because we were meeting friends from Virginia and we wanted two large bedrooms. There was a lower level room for a half a dozen children if you have a younger family. Some days we just hiked locally and sat around the firepit near our back deck. We had to try out the paddle boats on the vast pond, even thought early October was much cooler than back home. Graylag was perfect for side trips to a cheese maker in Vermont, exploration of Plymouth NH during its quatercentennial, and a jaunt north to watch the Fall colors near Mt. Washington. If you can wean oneself of televisions and being constantly electronically connected, reading, games and conversation a night is a skill willingly relearned there. Some areas do have a WIFI connection for those who need it for withdrawal symptoms. This was a vacation where I returned energized, not exhausted. I don't know how I also lost 2 1/2 pounds in a week of good food, good company and short walks in the preserve."
"Rare environment, natural and rugged but worth it. Offers programs open to audience as well as renting rustic high end cabins in pristine natural setting."
"We had a great time there! Accommodations were great, plenty of room and supplies. We were here during a snowstorm and Nick did a great job clearing the walkways and roads!! Highly recommend this place!!"
"It is a wonderful place to connect with your friends or family. It's a great break from TV and technology (with WiFi if you realy need it). The cabins are very cute and clean. The bathrooms with soaking tubs and nice fixtures are more than I expected. The property is very well maintained with lots of cute touches. I have been a few times and always see new things ever year. I hope to keep coming back every summer. In the spring time there are so many plants and flowers in bloom to enjoy and take pictures of. It would be a lot of fun to visit when the blueberries are ripe for the picking too. it is completely silent at night other than the animals. You can not hear any road noises in the almost private valley. It is so peaceful there day and night."
