"Went in for a simple $20 battery replacement. I don't know much about watchmaking, but I do know that mallets don't normally play a part. So after he malleted my watch apart and replaced the battery, I went on my way. A few hours later, I realized my chronograph pusher was no longer functioning. Took it to a Tissot servicer, they say the pusher is all bent, and the repair is more than the watch is worth. I guess that's what I get for going to a mall kiosk for the sake of convenience. Edited to add: The business owner apparently has a pretty short fuse for someone who works on watches for a living. Such precise work seems like a job for someone with a more even keel. Essentially accused me of lying ("highly questionable"), and then offered to look at the watch and see what's wrong. Quite frankly, I don't want Thor and Mjolnir anywhere near my watch going forward. I'd rather live without the chronograph function than lose the whole watch."
