"I know more than the ED doctors. I asked then to get ahold of my Cardiologist. Spent 8 hours. ED doctor telling me he contacted the cardiologist. And nothing wrong. Send him home. I call the cardiologist next day.he never contacted the. [ Lies ] they want me to go back and be admitted . And made to walk out. Having difficulty breathing. Doctor was very rude definitely there to collect a pay check ,not to help the sick"

"I was in the emergency room from Friday november 3rd, then admitted from their to the 8th in room 216, they saved my life do to huge infection from my left foot, I thank the staff immensely, everyone from the room cleaning staff to the nurse and doctors, assistants, cna's were unbelievably pleasant, heart filled, and professional, and just down right amazing. My heart is so greatful! Thank you all so much from myself and my family! Thank you, Thank you!"

"Today my mother in-law was taken in to the emergency room, her attending nurse was a man named Matt C. This man has NO business caring for a hang nail let alone a person. Not only did he treat her like her life didn't matter he treated her family as if they had no business being there. He wasted precious time that could have possibly saved her life. If you need emergency medical treatment go to your local vet before going there. You'll thank me for this advice later."

"I do not believe that the doctors and nurses want the to be a part of the culture that Maine General has created. My son was treated and released from the hospital and was called two days later to notify him that his strep test came back positive. He was not given antibiotics and was told to just "feel better." It has now been 3 weeks and 3 separate trips back to the hospital, multiple days with a fever of more than 104.1. Multiple trips to imaging, CT scans, blood tests, EKG, ultrasounds of the throat and heart and only God knows what his bills will look like. After his last trip they finally diagnosed him with a severe case of tonsillitis... Finally they prescribe an antibiotic but forget to put the steroid on the chart. Rather than contact the doctor to see if a steroid should be called in to the pharmacy they say, "bring him back to the ER." In fact they won't even contact the medical staff. What a predatory culture!!! Is Maine General has created a hospital that is more concerned with bankrupting a 18 year old young man with marginal health insurance than they are treating someone in need. This is something that the administration at this poor excuse for a hospital should be ashamed of."

"Wait 3 hours then get put in the hall on a cot to see a physician's assistant for 5 minutes. They're too busy to properly diagnose anything, in fact too busy to even put the prescription through. So you have to fight on the phone to get the wrong dosage of a prescription you didn't need because they didn't do their due diligence to properly diagnose the issue. You can pay top dollar for this kind of service and you'll probably pay it twice. Once here and once again at a proper hospital the next day when your emergency becomes a crisis."
