"I've never actually been here - for 11 years every time I've called they've had a waiting list, I've been on the waiting list multiple times, but they never once had an opening. I'm surprised that their website makes it appear as though they are interested in taking on clients when they obviously are overwhelmed by over a decade of people just groveling for a chance to partake of the services that they advertise. Most recently call was today, they still have a waiting list and rude secretaries for the phones. entirely unimpressed."
"I used to bring my cat here but since moving back into the area, I cannot convince myself to bring my cat back. My cat was diagnosed with IBD while in the care of The Cat Doctor and was placed on steroids because "the prescription diet is expensive and the steroids should take care of it." "Cats are also quite resilient to the effects of steroids." My cats kidney levels should have been checked and monitored, they never were. Additionally, long term steroid use could have not only damaged my cats kidneys, it could have also cause diabetes. That is by definition misinformed care. My cat is now on this "expensive" ($45/month) diet and is thriving. Additionally, it is typically considered poor bedside manner to say to a client "I have something important to do next door so I think we're all set here." It makes your client feel insignificant, which is how I typically felt. I sometimes questioned if I was treated this way because I was in my 20's, but this could have just been how the DVM's conducted themselves professionally. I have kept these experiences to myself for four years but now that I am a nurse, I see the inequity in care and cannot help but bring this poor practice to the attention of others, as well as the office. I can never trust the Cat Doctor again for misinforming me the way they did, risking my cats health, and taking away the possibility for my cat to achieve wellness. Your actions took away our autonomy and ability to make informed decisions about my cats health, which is not only unethical, it is also unforgivable. I emplore the clients of the Cat Doctor to be an active advocate in your cats care and don't be afraid to question their recommendations if your intuition tells you to do so."
"Had the best experience here. Brought my cat here as a kitten 8 years ago for yearly visits and they were always kind. Recently, I brought her in due to her acting different and they found a tumor in her belly. They were supportive and helpful from the second we found out my kitty was sick. They let me know of all my options and reassured me I was making the best decisions. I know a lot of vets will tell you things to do that will benefit them but the vets here did not. They all are cat lovers and every decision I made, they told me that they would have done the same thing. They were available via email/phone with any questions and concerns the last 3 weeks penelope was alive. When we made the decision to put her down, they allowed us the time and space we needed. They walked us through the whole process and we’re so helpful and kind. It was the hardest month of my life and I am so thankful for their kindness. Highly recommend !"
"Cannot recommend going to another veterinarian enough! I recently had to put my beloved cat down. In an extremely difficult and chaotic time one would expect to receive compassionate and exemplary care. This wasn’t the case with Heather from The Cat Doctor! Multiple calls were met with irritability and resentment, I was made to feel degraded and humiliated for my lack of knowledge in the field of veterinary care. One would expect to receive caring attitudes from staff, I received dirty looks and smirks. The staff is rude and impolite. These people couldn’t care less about the well being of your animal or their treatment towards their clients. Be warned, and stay away from Heather at the front desk!!!"
"I can not express how pleased and appreciative I am with the level of care and communication we have had so far at The Cat Doctor. The first time I called to check availability, my call was answered promptly by Skye- Skye was kind, informative and extremally helpful! Skye listed to me and my concerns and scheduled an appointment for both of my Sphynx that was in a more than reasonable time frame! At their first appointment- Skye was just as kind and welcoming as well as the Vet Techs that we had encounters with! The vet herself was AMAZING! She listened to my concerns, addressed them and was also extremally kind. She offered solutions and gave me a ton of information regarding the issues my cats were experiencing. My female cat was given an injection for asthma, which WORKED WONDERS- and the staff followed up by email 4 days later to check on both cats! 10 STARS! 100% thankful for this facility!"
