"The vets and techs have all been kind and supportive with our pets for the past 20 years. We rely on their expertise and care. Close examination and expert advice saved our dog’s life when he was found to have tongue cancer. They have also been compassionate with us and our cats and dog for end of life care decisions. Would recommend them to anyone!"
"My daughter's leopard gecko was having an issue with her eye and our vet doesn't see exotic pets. We did some research and decided on Animal Hospital of South Gorham. Not only were they able to get us in that very same day, but went above and beyond my expectations. Dr. Linda was thorough and kind and answered all our questions. Will certainly be back! Thank you!!!!"
"I'm honestly surprised by some of the experiences I'm reading. I've been using them for several years now, for exotic pets and cats. I've had nothing but positive experiences. There have been a few times my wait has been longer than usual but it's usually because they had an emergency they accepted and I'm more than willing to wait for that. I've had my fair share of emergencies they've made time for. They always explain things to me in a way I understand but not like they think I'm stupid. The staff clearly enjoy my pets and have always shown kindness regardless of which animal I bring in. I 100% recommend."
"Great experience so far, amazed and extremely grateful to have a knowledgeable Chelonian vet relatively close to home. Within hours if having tortoise looked at he began acting closer to normal, and had been visibly improving every day!!!"
"I was not impressed at all. These guys advertise as exotic specialists. Maybe, but you could have fooled me. Lot's of exotic pets only see more than a few people at a time when they go to vet. It's not like sitting in the exam room with Fido or Kitty; These animals are extremely stressed by the transport, never mind the actual exam. I went there today with a 16-year-old, 130-pound Sulcatsa tortoise. They put us right in an exam room, short chat with the Vet tech and then nothing for 1/2 hour. At that point, we decided it was best for our pet to go home. I told them I was leaving and wanted to pay for the visit. When I explained why another employee told me most doctors offices run 30 minutes behind. When I said "So you schedule the half hour wait in ahead of time then?", She just looked at me. In their favor though, they didn't charge me for a visit and informed me I needed a permit, I didn't know that."
