"I work in healthcare, and am an experienced pet parent.I recently had my female puppy spayed at Salmon Falls Animal Hospital. This is after having two male cats neutered there about one year ago, one with a fairly complicated surgery. Both those surgeries went smoothly. However, I haven't had a puppy in forever, and haven't ever had to deal with a female spay surgery. Apparently, something about the female puppy spay surgery really resonated with me as a woman, and I freaked out. Totally lost it, crying on the phone, very embarrassing. All the staff at SFAH were so utterly kind, professional and understanding. They understood and validated my concerns, irrational as they were. I spent significant time on the phone with both Dr. Burris and Dr. Linnell, and they were very affirming and informative without being judgmental ( about me being a crazy pet parent) ;)) Plus the facility is very clean; the staff are articulate,empathetic and well trained, and they are excellent at confirming appointments, leveraging technology and social media quite effectively. They clearly care for the pets and people that come through their doors, and are very sweet, skilled, and caring with them. My girl is a little shy and they are always so gentle with her. BTW my puppy girl is doing great"
