"Can’t give no starts so here we are. My dog was a regular at this vet. He got run over and VCA refused to see him because they did not have an “open appointment” so they told us to go to Portland then my dog died on the way there. He would have lived if someone would have just seen him. Shame on this hospital."
"Saw another review with the exact same experience, so I assume this is an ongoing issue with this vet… my husband took my our rescue to see Bethany Souers. We even had our other dog come here but had her appointment with a different vet (and she’s the one on anxiety meds) but had a completely positive experience. My dog been to to VCA in MA multiple times and an emergency vet and every time she’s LOVED visiting like she’s the star of the show and loves interacting with the staff, the staff also loves her. This was her first visit to this location. She was totally fine when the vet tech. However the vet who came in just stood in the doorway, and leaned over my dog with her hand over her head and my dog barked and lunged at her so she left the room. She wanted to reschedule and send her home sedatives to give her for the next time she came in. Mind you it took us 5 months to even get an appointment here when we moved to the area. Instead my husband had to restrain her the whole time to get them to agree to work with her. Don’t be a vet if you can’t approach handle nervous dogs. I would not recommend this veterinarian specifically."
"I took my dog Lexie there for 5 years. She’s an American Staffordshire Terrier. She’s a good girl who gets nervous around people sometimes. I’ve never once had a problem there until yesterday. I took my dog in for her yearly check up and the vet who came in just stood in the doorway, long enough for me to think to myself “why are you standing there?!” My dog Lexie backed up and barked. This vet was clearly uncomfortable handling a nervous dog and didn’t know how to handle the situation. She wanted to reschedule and send me home with sedatives to give my dog for the next time she came in… uhm, no! She’s never had to do that before! And the wait time to get BACK IN was two months, after I already drove 40 minutes to be there! My dog has a great sense of character and did not like that vet but was completely fine and happy when it was just me and the vet tech! The attitude from the vet was not needed, as if it’s my dogs fault the vet stood in the doorway like a creeper. Don’t be a vet if you can’t handle nervous dogs. Would not recommend this place!"
"Brought our 2 adult cats in for their first visit with a new vet. We moved here recently and they were able to see us when no other vets would. Very friendly and affordable."
"If I could give No Stars I would. Our beloved dog was run over. That was the closest Vets so immediately we went there when we realized the Emergency Vet was closed. There were barely any cars in the driveway. They turned us away. They wouldn't even treat him. I Would Never Recommend this Vet to anyone! VCA SUCKS!"
