"I came here on Monday because I was having severe pain all over my body nausea just generally sick I sat in the waiting room for 5 hours.the break down: first hour was the checking process.second hour was bloodwork.third hour finally got my CT scan 4th and 5th hour sitting In pain in the waiting room being ignored so i end up leaving. fast forward to friday I end up in the e.r again this time by ambulance because of a vertigo attack surprise I've had covid since Monday but they never did a test so I never knew. now Cathy was super nice though (I think that's her name) she was the only nurse actually doing something"
"Worst hospital experience of my entire life not only did it take me 10 hours to get an emergency CAT scan done but the staff was rude. The hospital was dirty and the patients were insane now I understand they can not control the patient population I get that but I didn't see a security guard one time I was there. I Had to fight with one of the staff members to sanitize a pulse oximeter that she was trying to use on every single person in the waiting room without cleaning it first. What the what? This is the land of Covid now and then I get in the back and it's the same thing the little ER technician wants to use the same dirty sensor probe she just stuck on the patient before me who is vomiting. it's not just that, the PA cones into the triage room where I'm at and wants to do an abdominal exam on me sitting straight up in the chair. I'm a registered nurse I know that ain't cool I know the right way you do an exam I've been taught how to do a proper abdominal exam, so how you gonna tell me that my kidneys and my spleen and liver feel perfectly fine when you can't even feel them correctly sitting straight up in a chair.. the triage nurse sits me down in a chair doesn't ask me to write my name or date of birth doesn't introduce herself to me doesn't do anything but starts barking orders at me like I'm some kind of animal and then says "oh my bad sometimes I forget to be human"...what? And then I go to get the CAT scan and the technician is in there dropping F bombs about how she hates her workload and how she doesn't want to be there because she is going to get mandated to stay... what? Then the Doctor Who is assigned to my case, wants to do an abdominal exam in the middle of the hallway with me wearing two layers of clothing. What can you feel do two layers of clothing...clothing. Best advices I can give don't go there unless you absolutely have to then rethink it, and go somewhere else."
"I was at Good Samaritan Hospital for 2 days and 2 nights. I was at Emergency room. Staffs were great. They were very professional doing their tasks. Showed concern and care. They worked very hard to respond to our demands. I pray that things can get better by extending rooms for the patients. My experience there was not bad at all. I would refer that hospital without hesitation to anyone."
"This is the first and last ER experience for us at Good Samaritan. The lack of knowledge and accommodation for families with children on the spectrum in medical settings especially this hospital is appalling. The front desk women are rude and inconsiderate of what people in that place are already going through and seem to only have a desire to make everything more difficult. My non verbal four year old and I were in the ER for 13 hours… they tried to even put us in a bed in a hallway which for obvious reasons would never work… finally get into a room and don’t see anyone for hours. Doctors come introduce themselves and then never come back. They send nurses in for tests, ct prep without even coming back to explain that they’re coming and what they’re testing for which then causes more delay because I’m not going let them test my daughter without talking to a doctor first so now we’re waiting again… then we have a male nurse show up who doesn’t even introduce himself, can’t even bring himself to crack a smile…which is pathetic when you’re coming into work on a child patient who is Who is already struggling enough. He then proceeded to try and put an IV in my little ones hand and the nurse assisting him told him over and over He had missed and breached, and he insisted he hadn’t. He then begin to wiggle around the needle in her hand which is when she screamed and I told him to get out. Between his attitude And not being able to be told he is wrong he has no place working with children in the ER… now don’t get me wrong I understand that with the closure of local hospitals and the way the world is right now his job and all of their jobs probably aren’t easy…… But if you can’t do your job with understanding and compassion in a place like that, you shouldn’t be working there. In other words, you can clearly tell who works there because they love their job and who works there because they love the money and that’s sad…. As the night went on, it only got worse. We never saw the doctor again, and it took us three hours to be discharged after they told us to go home with Tylenol and rest…. So, my daughter got to watch all of the horrible things in that ER and Nurses screaming at patients to be quiet and stop calling for help because they’re fine, strange men staring into her door from the hallway because they place somebody in a bed right outside our window. I’m not sure if this hospital needs some new procedures, some new employees Or just some compassion training But I will never find myself here with a sick family member ever again….."
"My experience was first class from the front desk to the very last person I saw, my wait time was super quick and i was treated with respect, things were clearly explained to me and I left the facility feeling like a person, good job."
