"I've been trying to get appointment with these ppl for a month, the refuse to see. I legit have been issues breathing n I tested negative for covid but refused to check me for anything else, and sent me home. This place never wants to give appointments to me since day one"
"I really don’t like this new law that they have to make same day appointments like why will they do that I really don’t see the point of it and then try to squeeze everyone on the same day, is really mess up !"
"They lack professionalism and care for patients who need help in extreme situations. They need to be taught some directions in helping patients with extreme situations. Stop the lies and help patients when they ask for help and stop the excuses"
"You should start with allowing patients to make regular doctors appointments instead of same day appointments, which you have to call for in the morning within a very small window as soon as they open, less you will not get an appointment. I began going to capital hill health centers in 1996. When i worked and had regular private insurance, I went elsewhere. My husband still goes there. My husband who has diabetes was never taught how to check or monitor his blood (or diet) by his physician which ultimately lead to him having a stroke in October 2021. He has since recovered especially since I became his advocate in demanding information and how to care for him myself, while his doctor and the center refused to see him last year because he was also recovering from covid jan 2022. He had to be hospitalized because his sugar kept dropping to dangerous levels, transported by ambulence. Capital hill health centers leave very much to be desired. They are like a factory just pumping patients in and out. I also shared this Doctor of my husbands, but I refuse to go back to him/her. My poor husband still goes to the center because they are cheap and they have his intricate medical history. I am still thinking about reaching out to an attorney over their lack care for my husband leading up to his stroke."
"Turnover rate for providers there is extremely high. Every year I have someone new as a provider. I’ve unfortunately been a patient there since 2011/2012 due to Obamacare providing me a PCP that was near by the college I was attending. Getting an appointment is difficult. Even when you do get an appointment and express medical concerns not much is done. To get a letter/document signed to start or even get out of work due to medical reasons is a hassle. You either have to harass them daily to get it or just give up on all hope. I’ve had multiple job start dates postponed due to this place. Most of the receptionists or medical secretaries (whoever answers the phones) lack comprehension skills, aren’t all on the same page, different answers or approaches to the same question. I’ve tried going to their affiliate locations (maybe to get a better experience) and even have private pay insurance but most of the time I get the “sorry we’re currently not accepting new patients” line. Yes, I understand these centers were built to help “promote the better health of rural communities”, but I would try to avoid this place at all costs. It’s no longer living up to the expectations and standards it was built for."
