"My wife and I visited the Biddeford Post Office to apply for a passport for my 10 month old son and were very rudely told by the lady behind the counter, that we couldn’t be served because we had to make an online appointment. I pointed out that the website clearly states that we were there during walk-in hours, and there were no other customers in line at the time, but despite these facts, she still refused to serve us. We ended up driving all the way to Gorham to get the application done, (without an appointment, and during a much busier time of the day) and we were actually treated like humans."
"It's the holidays. the line was long, but the 2 workers moved us along quickly. Fast and friendly..."
"Staff were very busy handling passports for a large family when a customer in line became overly impatient and confrontational. Staff handled the situation professionally"
"The folks working in the building on Alfred Rd. are delightful! The gentleman who works there is funny and enjoys chatting with each customer. My problem is with the postal driver that delivers the mail. She is incompetent. I have Informed Delivery so I know what mail is supposed to arrive in my mailbox each day. If she feels up to it, it's delivered. If not? It can takes days/weeks for her to deliver it. She flat out refuses to close the lid on the mailbox so that my mail is exposed to anyone who walks by and to the elements. I can no longer put mail in the box to be taken as she's ripped the mailbox flag off my box. Packages are crammed in the box even if they don't fit, or balanced on top of the mailbox, because she can't be bothered to get out and put them on the porch. Our previous postal worker retired and she is very much missed."
"I've been in twice in the weeks leading up to the holidays and you can tell the staff is working non-stop. Both visits were during the day and took less than 40 minutes each. There are usually 2 counters open and most people are taken care of in under 5 minutes. Despite how much traffic was going through it was pretty tidy and stocked but I would recommend adding a trashcan by the boxing station or making it more visible. The woman that helped me today noticed the fancy stamps I was using and suggested some fun options when I replenished. The other woman working was being so patient and helpful with an elderly customer shipping a gift, the clerk even found a less expensive shipping option. Support the USPS!"
