Reviews
"My experience with Dr. Avery has been excellent. I have found her incredibly helpful, supportive and constructive for me during a challenging time in my life. Her many years of experience are and deep expertise are evident, and I really enjoy our working relationship. I highly recommend her and am very glad I found her."
"I am compelled to share my experience with Dr.Avery because it is a complete contrast to the other review written. I will not attempt to discredit their story but when I read it, I thought to myself “Maybe she has the wrong psychologist?” I began meeting with Dr.Avery after 12 years with my previous therapist. I went into the first session a bit apprehensive but also with a loaded topic. After 3 sessions I was in awe of how forthcoming and honest we were with each other and therefore laid the foundation for a positive working relationship. At one point, she asked a very poignant question about the trauma I experienced. I did not have an answer at that moment but between then and our next session, I was able to determine the answer that allowed me to move forward. I’ve worked with mental health counselors for a long time and purposefully choose to work with a psychologist. I felt the work done with Dr. Avery has been done methodically and never felt overwhelmed. I highly recommend Dr.Anne Avery."
"Horrible experience! I wish 0 stars was an option! My child had recently lost her daddy and needed grief counseling. Anne Avery was yelling at her at our second section about looking a papers that are “not her business “ mind you she was 4 years old. She looked at my daughter and I with an angry tone and said your mother needs to teach u the difference between public and private. This same day Anne claimed we were 5 mins early and made us go back to wait in the car for 5 more minutes, only to find out her clock was slow. She would say do not touch and stop talking to my four year old who is desperate to approval. My daughter begged me not to go back because she was supposed to be our friend and friends do not treat each other this way so we did not continue sessions with Anne Avery and I continue to get a bill after I canceled with her husband who does the billing. This woman needs her own therapist in my opinion. Very rude and seemingly angry all of the time"
