Dr. Emily P. Tierney, MD

"Dr. Tierney and her staff are AWESOME. I was first diagnosed with two Basil Cell Carcinomas and, then, had each of them removed. Dr. Tierney is extremely professional while also being genuinely friendly and caring. Her staff - Casey, Kimmy, and Caitlin - are also professional and efficient with caring attitudes. I had a very positive experience. As far as waiting times - as others have criticized - I did not experience an inordinate waiting time with either procedure. There is time between the procedure and the lab results that dictate additional surgery but that is to be expected. Overall, I am very grateful for the care I received and highly recommend Dr. Tierney."

"Yes, I usually have to wait while Dr. Tierney gives someone ahead of me the care they need. When it's finally my turn, she will give me the care that I need. I bring a book I'd like to read and settle down to wait because she is definitely worth waiting for. A very honest and capable Dr. I'm so glad she serves us on the Cape."

"I fired her also. Worst office visit with a dr in my 68 years. First appt was a week ago. I arrived on time and was told after I got there that the dr wouldn’t see me because she was behind schedule. I had a 65 minute drive each way from Provincetown. Why couldn’t they have called me before I made the drive and wasted my afternoon, time, and gas. We rescheduled for a week later (today) at 3:45. At 2:30 I get a call that they are running behind and I should come at 4:15. I arrive at 4:10 and sit in the reception area for 20 minutes. Then they move me inside into an examination room and I sat there for 1 hour. No communication; no water, nothing. I go to the reception and asked what’s going on to be told it would be another “10-15” minutes. At that point I walked out as I had dogs to feed at home and a 65 minute drive. Why did they tell me to come a half later when they wouldn’t see me for 2 hours? Obviously this dr. and her staff either don’t care about their clients or they have extremely poor time management and scheduling issues……or both. I would think twice if you are thinking of seeing her……"

"She's a good doctor, maybe even a great doctor, BUT, you'll never really know because it takes forever to see her. The last four times I had an appointment I waited for at least 40-50 minutes to get into the exam room, then another 10-15 minutes before she walked through the door. The last time I was there I waited an hour and a half in the waiting room, then 15 minutes in the exam room at which point I left. That day I left her practice, or, at least I tried to. A month and a half later they still haven't sent my medical records. If any of us conducted our business this way, we'd be fired. So I did. I fired her."

"I have been to many Demotoligist through my life. She did not give a comprehensive full body exam. It was the first time I had seen her. She cut/sliced off with a knife, three spots I had (dime size). All other doctors have always frozen them off. My appointment was September 12, 2022. One of the incision on the back of my leg still hasn’t healed. I don’t write reviews but this time I need to."
