Reviews of Baystate Urology - Greenfield
"The worst, most toxic medical office I've ever experienced. There is zero two-way communication or informed consent. Many of the staff are rude hostile impatient dismissive and condescending. You make an appointment and 2 weeks later you get a voicemail that they changed it without asking you. When you call the nurses number it's on speaker phone and people you don't know or have never met make comments. You can't contact anyone directly even if you're returning their call and no one seems to really know what's going on with your care. A few of them are nice and seem to care but the overwhelming experience is hostile uncooperative and very toxic."
"I had an ER visit due to a kidney stone at Baystate Franklin. They referred me to the Baystate Greenfield Urology. After I called them, the first available appointment with an urologist was ... a month after. They offered me to see a physician assistant earlier, which turned out not to be a particularly useful meeting. The assistant recommended a CT scan, which I believe was quite unnecessary given that I had already one CT scan at the Baystate Franklin hospital (extra radiation for no good reason). I asked for an ultrasound instead, which also required more than a week to be scheduled. Unfortunately, the situation is no better with other urology groups in Western Massachusetts: the Urology Group of Western New England and the Pioneer Valley Urology had appointments available 1-2 months after my call (plus they have very low Google ratings as well). It is clear to me that there is a several lack of urologists in this area. In the end, I went to an urology group near Boston (Greater Boston Urology). I got an appointment the same week I called, they had reasonable procedures (e.g., ultrasound, bloodwork, urine test same day of my appointment) and a great urologist who treated me successfully. The staff there was much more professional compared to what I saw in Western Massachusetts groups."
"Dr. Richard Alexander and Kammille Oborne have been great in fixing my multiple urological problems created by a previous doctor from a different hospital. The nursing staff has also been terrific (Tammy, Ellen and Holly). I can't say enough good things about Greenfield Urology."
"Baystate Urology is a complete amateur hour operation. They made an appointment for my father for the wrong office. He lives in Greenfield, they made the appointment for Northampton. My 71 year old father, with the shattered knee cap and the two knee surgeries was told there was nothing they could do for him since there was no appointment for him in Greenfield. The nurse came out and told my wheelchaired (not a real word) that there was nothing they could do. No solutions. No "we'll fit you in, since you getting in and out of a car is a dreadful proposition". Nothing. So double and triple check your appointments with the buffoons on the phone, because this office cares little for their patients."
"CNP Tiffany Doyle is the best Dr. Evvvvvveeerrr! Listens to your concerns. Takes her time with you during your appointment. Actually treats you a person. Tiffany actually cares about her patients."
