"Great Hotel we've been there numerous times always a Fantastic Experience I highly recommend!!!"
"I’ve golfed here several times, and enjoyed it in the past. It’s a beautiful course, always in good shape and pretty challenging. My 10 year old daughter played pga league golf this summer, and I brought her here with the rest of my family to play golf as a treat at the end of the summer (I had held off before now as I knew she wasn’t ready). My experience playing here with a kid was far different than my past experiences. We picked the latest tee time available on a Saturday (4pm) in an attempt to stay out of the way of other golfers. My daughter is our 3rd kid, and we’ve used this approach for years, always with good results. Interestingly, there’s no price break for playing late in the day, so the total for whole family came to $260 (not cheap). In hindsight, I feel like the starter had some preconceived ideas about us from the beginning. He pointed out the sign in the golf cart no less than 3 times that says the latest you can return the cart is 6:30. Fine, those are the rules and we will play by them. We teed off promptly at 4 pm, and started play. By 4:05 I looked over my shoulder and the starter had started a twosome immediately behind us with no separation. As a result, we waited at hole 2 after hitting our drives to let the twosome play through. The typical tee time separation is usually much more than that, but for some reason he thought that made sense. At hole 3, there was a group waiting at the hole who asked us to play through, so we began to do that. At that point, the starter showed up to hassle us about our pace of play (he later claimed that we had two parties stuck behind us, which is untrue. They asked us to play through). After explaining that we had let the people behind us play through on 2 (mainly due to the lack of separation he had afforded us), he was pretty obnoxious and insisted we were too slow. He wouldn’t listen to any thing we said, and made false claims about us slowing people down. That was frustrating. Some people could probably shrug off a confrontation like that, but I couldn’t. I thought about it for the whole round, as did the rest of my family. We accepted the 6:30 pm stop time, and we let people play through when we felt we were slowing play down (this only happened the one time I mentioned above). I should add that all of the other golfers we met were extremely friendly. The one time the group behind us got close enough to talk to us, they assured us they weren’t in a rush, and that we should not rush ourselves. We finished our round at 6:18 (2:18 pace for nine holes). I didn’t know the exact time , but I was informed of it by the starter (who watched us come in, unbeknownst to me). Crazy. I never do this, but I confronted him after coming in to let him know that he ruined our round. Really frustrating. He suggested that if I return in the future that I not bring kids with me. For the record, my daughter played well, and was able to keep up the pace, so what’s the problem? I paid good money for a lousy experience to have some pretentious guy who hates the idea of kids playing golf spoil it. Be forewarned if you have a kid or anyone that the starter may preconceive to be a ‘problem’. Rest assured, even if they’re not, he will still find a way to make them an issue. I won’t be back!"
"Great 9 hole course with incredible views. Play d 18 and is worth it. Course is challenging with fairway and greens in great shape. Would play again."
"Gorgeous 9-hole golf course at the foot of Cathedral Ledge. The course is well kept and challenging."
"Great out of the way public golf course with a wonderful hotel and resort nestled right in!"
