Ms. Alana Burke 238 Wareham Road, Marion, MA 02738

"I'm sure Alana is a very nice lady who purely means well, but her conduct conveys otherwise. Multiple times I would show up on time for my appointment, only for her to go 15-20 minutes into my time with another client(laughing and making jokes). Afterwards at the end of my original timeslot, I would be ushered out the door, a few times even BEFORE my original hour was up. I had trouble connecting with Alana, I assume mainly because of the age gap, but I was willing and actively trying to make it work as therapists are hard to come by. After having our regular schedule disrupted, she offered to see me on a certain date 2 weeks in advance; upon going to her office on that date, I heard her on a telehealth call so I knocked and was turned away because she had scheduled me 1 day later, the wrong date. When I could not go to that session, she messaged me saying she wouldn't be able to see me for a month and that I should consider finding someone else as “ It's been difficult getting you in for an appt. I just want you to be able to access a provider”. She only apologized after I called out her conduct."

"I had difficulties logging in to my first session with Alana.. I was 11 minutes late to my 3 o'clock session due to unforseen time conflicts, again by 11 whole minutes. My session was scheduled to be one hour long. Prior to this, I Spent At Least an hour filling out my intake forms in the days leading up to this initial session. Upon being late, I attempted to reach out to Alana the very moment I realized my tech was compromised. Not only did she not acknowledge that I was experiencing technical difficulties or attempt to assist, whatsoever, but she ceased all communication with me at that time. She literally took the stance of ignoring multuple calls and texts over the next 5-10 minutes. At 3:23, I recieved an email from Alana's office telling me that the client portal I had set up for my treatment with Ms. Burke had been deactivated. That's how I was informed that not only would my appointment not be happening that day, but it was making it clear that she no longer wished to take me on as a patient. Alana Burke ghosted me, for being 11 minutes late to my first session. It's pretty devastating considering how difficult it's been to find a new therapist. Not only that, but that intake paperwork, I poured my most confidential heart out in that. I informed her of alllll my traumas, old and new, as I had literally already began to fully confide in this person. This same person, however, would never be my trusted therapist, and evidently never took my care seriously. I divulged a massve amount of personal information to a complete stranger, one with a highly unprofessional manner of handling delicate matters. I'm left feeling dupped by some flake who really isn't interested in taking on new clients. And at the very least, I'm left feeling as if I'm not worthy of care because I experienced a hiccup in my ability to log in successfully, to a patient portal and system that was brand new to me. That being said, I do feel significantly worse about myself than I did before ever even coming into contact with this person. If I could give zero stars I would. Just some direct communication would have been sufficient, but she decided to be a moody, passive aggressive coward instead."
