"I had really high hopes for SST. It was our last resort for food therapy. Our therapist was not a good fit which was surprising considering how thorough our pre therapy consultation was. My son is a preteen and after ever session he’d complain to me that the counselor was babying him. I think she had one game plan and could not adjust according to age. On our last visit she came out with a list of non food related things she thought needed addressing, including his eyes not tracking properly and, conveniently, she would be able to address these things in future visits. None of it was true. He had a physical yesterday with his PCP and when I told the doc about it he said he didn’t see any signs of any of it. My belief is once food therapy wasn’t progressing she started looking for other problems to fix. I was really hopeful that this place was the answer. We spent a lot of money finding out it wasn’t. If you have a young child they might benefit more. If you don’t feel right about your counselor, try to change immediately. Don’t wait it out."

"My 11 year son saw Ms. Jess for OT! He’s on the ASD spectrum and had a hard time with coordination and confidence. Every week they would tell me the things that he had done. Each week I could start to see my son more engaged, have more confidence, and generally just enjoying accomplishing the tasks for that session. A couple months after he graduated from OT he told me he wanted to try playing lacrosse. He had never done a team sport and I was a little nervous but he thrived. He loved the structure and being around his friends. I don’t think he would have ever had the confidence to try something new like that if it wasn’t for all the work him and Jess did together. She is so amazing at what she does and I couldn’t be more thankful."
