"After reaching out via psychology today, I got a text from them to arrange time for intake. Our appointment time came and went without contact from them. I then got a text, the next day, apologizing and asking to reschedule. I gave them a range from 2pm on (the rest of the entire day). Still no contact from them. The next day, they texted to say they were not available after 2pm. (Which is now irrelevant since that was my availability the day prior.) when I pointed that out on my response, I was offered an apology with the comment that they had “connectivity issues.” This didn’t set well with me because, connectivity issues notwithstanding, telephones still work, but they clearly failed to communicate. This was my experience, which makes me feel like if they can’t handle their front of house professionally, how can I trust them with something as important as my mental health? This way of doing business is the kind of thing that worsens mental health for some people. Proceed at your own risk, but I would strongly advise looking elsewhere."
"I attended a couple virtual sessions with a therapist during 2021 which I ended after being ignored for bringing up alternative mental health issues that weren’t my primary diagnosis. I then canceled all subsequent sessions. Afterwards, I received multiple bills stating that I was being charged a missed sessions fee for those sessions that I canceled over the phone with my therapist. After getting these resolved, I thought I was finally done with this scam service. Now, for the last two years I have intermittently received phone calls and emails of billing statements of a “recent session”, mind you the last session I attended was summer 2021, and when I call to argue or email a complaint, I get no one on the other line. DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES. This company is a complete scam and I can’t believe Northeastern University Health Services referred me to them."
"I stopped working with them primarily due to their terrible insurance billing hygiene (i.e. not sending insurance claims timely, inability to access statements, incorrectly billing old insurance plan after being told the new plan multiple times before the appointment date). The headache working with their billing adds to the mental stress you're supposed to be getting help with in the first place."
"This company is horrible. I have not had a counseling for a year last year I had made sure I had paid everything and everything was up to date. Now a whole year later I am getting charged again and a bill sent to my email. I try to reach out to someone to get this cleared up and ask for the itemization. NO REPLY. Who is the owner of this company and why do they not respond? “Felicia” This company is unprofessional overall. My counselor would show up late consistently, and eat during our session, she had horrible WiFi where it continuously disconnected, talk to her family members and dogs during our session and would mute herself to do so..I’m paying for her time and she couldn’t put aside any of these things for after. Very unprofessional. She also told me I was high maintenance. Rolled her eyes often."
"I saw a therapist with this center for approximately one year, during a time in which there were very few therapists available. I stopped in September 2022 after my therapist left the company and they assigned me to a new therapist with no specialization in my area, and without sharing any of my prior notes. Worse than this, and the reason I will recommend never work with this company, is they stopped billing me on a weekly basis for sessions halfway through working with them, and instead switched to billing on an unknown timeframe. I've received two bills from them since JUNE 2022 - one in November and one in February, neither itemized and neither reflecting my insurance charges. I was able to get a breakdown of what my insurance paid on the November bill, but only just today received a breakdown on remaining charges, which from the bill I see were only submitted to my insurance in October 2023 when the sessions were from July, August, and September 2022. They offer no customer service, no support, and when you need to pay online they require you pay through a portal that adds a service charge which on a bill that's hundreds of dollars do to their negligence in providing it to you in a timely manner, adds up significantly. Absolutely atrocious way to treat patients who are going to this space for support, peace, and to minimize their stress."
