"I have used brightside first for counselors and was referred to their psychiatric nurse practitioner for my 14 year old daughter. After meeting with my daughter over telehealth for ‘psych evaluation’ that she said would take 45 minutes she prescribed her Lamotrigine which is a medicine used to treat bipolar and seizures and in lower doses used as a mood stabilizer without ever talking to me, her parent first. The first word I got of the prescription was a text from CVS saying they were filling it. When I confronted her, she blamed the misunderstanding on a bad phone connection, which made the action more appalling, being that she prescribed an anticonvolusant to a minor she really knew nothing about. She also tried to say when I talked to her that usually she will speak to the parent first prior to the child and that was never offered. When my daughter got on the call, I was next to her and within the first 1 min of call, she explained her intent on giving this psych eval. She also tried to say when I talked to her that my daughter said I was not there and though I was not in the room I was in the next room and my daughter would have loved nothing more than to pass the phone off to me, so again a misrepresentation of the truth or if it was the phone connection then clearly it was not good enough to summarize that a 14 year old needs a serious medication like this. These meds are being prescribed way to loosely and these ppl are a danger to our children and their already fragile mental well-being. I will be the person to say are they working on behalf of our children or pharmaceutical companies that profit from the mental health crisis we are being faced with? The reason I gave two stars is bc I had the pleasure of having a great counselor Shannon from brightside in Cranston who has since left the practice and Nealyse has been helpful so far in counseling my daughter with her words- not a medication to sedate her."

"I am unsure of whom saw my sister the day of their June appointment but I do know one of the people they work with is Dr. Amy Creegan. Our mom wasn’t available the day of my sisters appointment and was refused care on that day. My sister is 16 years old which in rhode island is the legal age of consent which includes medical care. Quoting the person at the front desk, “They cannot be seen because they need an adult with them.” When I had said that they are the legal age of medical care consent, She replied with “That doesn’t matter they can’t consent to their own treatment.” At this point I was frustrated because our mom couldn’t make it that day and I was basically told I wasted gas on this 27 min. drive. I asked to speak with the dr. that was working with her and was denied of everything. All of their non-verbals were extremely disrespectful. As someone who has worked in the Lifespan hospital system, we are taught the C.A.R.E values. Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Excellence! During the 30 short minutes we were there, they showed the complete opposite of all of these values and even had the audacity to kick us out when I defended my sister. 10-10 don’t recommend! Working in healthcare requires patience. If you don’t have that, then why are you doing what you’re doing?"

"Ryan capuano convinces family to have patients locked in mental hospital then when patient tells him that he needs to fix what he caused with his comments since even psychiatrist didn't agree with his determination then tell you that you have been discharged for demanding actions. He is a liar like he says that he is not like that type. I do not recommend this place or him at all."

"Terrible. I went there for counseling for my gen anxiety disorder/social anxiety and the lady I was supposed to be seeing canceled on me. I was sitting there for a good 30 mins waiting. Very unprofessional on her part. Wasted gas for nothing. Won’t be back."
