"Prior to Dr. Margolies, I went to therapy on a weekly basis for about four years and over this time saw three different therapists. All of the therapists were pretty much the same: they listened compassionately, took notes, and made comments here and there, but the therapy never gave me new insight or understanding of myself. I assumed this was the best therapy could do, and that if I went for long enough it would eventually reveal some deep insight that would help me understand and improve myself. It was clear to me after one session with Dr. Margolies that she is an exceptional therapist and that the previous therapists I saw were a waste of time. She is not the type that sits quietly and takes notes. Instead, sessions are very interactive and dynamic; she asks a lot of questions and gives her thoughts and insight throughout. I have been amazed with how quickly she is able to get to the root cause of whatever issue we are discussing and then collaborate on strategies/tactics to address it. Her work has drastically improved my mental health and overall wellbeing."
