"After many run arounds with Dartmouth Hitchcock and other providers, I went to Edward Jacobs office for an evaluation. My childs preschool was concerned about autism along with family. The previous places I brought her for evaluations said that she was "too young" and they wanted to wait it out. Which I waited it out but it only affected her worse when she entered elementary School. Because of Edward Jacobs my daughter could be properly diagnosed with autism. I didn't have to "wait" and be told by other doctors to try her on ADHD medicine. I was able to have a professional evaluation done that took two office visits for her. I was also able to get a proper IQ screening to understand what her capacity is for now and the future. This opened up so many doors as a parent. I was able to understand my daughter and her needs better. I'll forever be thankful for Dr Jacobs. He was so thorough and understanding. The time he took to explain and teach me the "how's" and "why's". I could understand her triggers, thought process and what's behind certain behaviors. One of my friends is currently going through a story very much like mine with her child. She reach out to me today and the first person I thought of was Dr Jacobs. When I looked up his information, I needed to write a review. I don't feel that the previous reviews can truly sum up the ability he has to help assist families. I hope this can provide more background when you're feeling lost, like I once was. Although it's been years, my daughter still remembers how nice he was and his "Brain Jar" on his desk. Edward Jacobs and associates can help you!"
"I was told by my case management at my therapist’s office to see Dr. Edward Jacobs for a psychiatric evaluation (since they didn’t diagnose). There was poor communication from the office about my appointments and there was no reminder system set up for the appointments as well. It’s practically impossible to get someone on the phone (which is the only way to contact them when trying to set up a first appointment). And in addition to that, there is no mental prepping for the clients for each test being administered. I had my second or third appointment on the phone and was being asked a series of questions and I had to ask them if it was an IQ test (which it was). I’m not sure how my IQ was supposed to determine if I have bipolar disorder or borderline personality disorder (BPD), but that’s what I was being subjected to. When I brought up anything about BPD, Jacobs would brush it off and change the subject. He then told me that my reaction to a scheduling mishap was “not extreme enough” for me to be borderline. This was the only reasoning I was given at the time for why he completely ignored me. If you want to be evaluated with up to date materials and scholarly knowledge, do not go to this practice. He is outdated and will treat you like a piece of meat with no ability to think on your own."
"Had no issues with services but billing is completely unprofessional. Bills were randomly sent but they didn't not bill insurance as was agreed upon as evidenced by both bills and insurance statements. I made at least 4 phone calls to get an accurate bills none of which were returned by the billing office. Debit card was charged a not insignificant amount of money without notice or authorization for the transaction. This resulted in having to cancel debit card (since billing office will not return phone calls to explain their actions). Apparently this got their attention and then was finally sent a bill including insurance component with threatening language about collections, despite this being the first accurate bill I've received."
"This is the worst medical office of any kind I have been to in my life. I came here for an IEP evaluation and the office itself is disgusting and made me feel like I was about to be human trafficked. Instead of an actual table, I had to do my evaluation on a plastic folding table while sitting on dirty, stained furniture. When I got the report, it was unprofessional with sections that were clearly not filled out properly if at all. For example, the "suggested actions" section was left completely blank. My advisor at my college even said she's never seen such a poorly written report. With what I was billed for these services, I was clearly overcharged $95 in two transactions on my credit card. I called them over and over for weeks and they never answer the phone or return messages. I had to file a dispute with my credit card company and even then they did not get back to me. I called my insurance company and they were confused on why I was charged so much as that is NOT what they had in their files; I was supposed to be charged $75 (which is still too much for the insultingly awful service I received). My insurance company tried reaching them as well and couldn't. For two months I've been trying to get these people on the phone for an explanation and still nothing. They charged me AGAIN for the amount I'd disputed without ever contacting me! Never go to this place. Find another office- any other office but do NOT come here."
