"Dr. Janis Fox provided exceptional care during my recent visit! From the moment I arrived, she greeted me personally at the front and ushered me into her office. She already knew info from my chart before my visit. Then, she meticulously took hand-written and computer notes, confirming details and addressing not only my medical but my emotional and mental well-being— eg she recognized my anxiety about missing my family in my home country any promptly arranged for social work support. As an early career physician myself (applying to residency) and a brown woman, I appreciate her systematic approach to patient care. She turned the computer towards me as she typed out action items while also explaining them and later gave me ample time to ask questions. She then printed out her notes for me to take home, and once again went over the action items to ensure I got them right. All the contact numbers that I needed (to make imaging appointments, her nurse, insurance related contact etc) were also printed on the sheet. She then walked me out and made sure I booked a follow up appointment with her nurse and in the meantime also check with my insurance. Since this was my first appointment- there were many moving parts and it was important that I got it right (eg- genetic screen, certain hormones, titers, US etc) The entire team, including Madeline and Nikki were great and also highly vouched for Dr. Fox. All in all, she is VERY detail oriented and also an expert in her field, and that is what you would want your doctor to be when you’re trying to conceive."

"During my appointment, Dr. Fox made a racist joke about my ethnicity which was offensive, hurtful, and discomforting. Additionally, she gestured the “time out” sign with her hands and interrupted me twice to exclaim “time-out!” when I tried to ask a question or speak. I was polite, and did not interrupt her or become combative. I was just appalled by her behavior towards me- I am a grown woman - not a child in elementary school! Going through reproductive issues is hard enough but to have a doctor who not only is demeaning towards my ethnicity but talks down on me, is completely inappropriate and unacceptable. Brigham and Women’s lost a patient thanks to her, I will be going elsewhere for treatment. I would’ve expected better from someone employed by such a reputable institution."
