"Dr. Miller with Community Medical Associates and (what used to be Dr. Lirette’s practice) is the absolute worst OB-GYN. Due to Dr. Lirette retiring, my appointment was rescheduled (completely understandable). I went in for my appointment for a procedure and due to the fact I did not have insurance, I had to pay $225 upfront. I paid when I checked in and waited.. and waited.. finally, 30 minutes past my appointment time, I was called in. I was called in and Dr. Miller said “good news, I just reviewed your chart and we aren’t going to do any procedure today! But we just wanted to bring you in to tell you so that we didn’t waste your time!” I explained that I already paid for the procedure. He said “how much did they charge you for that?” And I said “$225” to which he said “wow! That’s a lot, yea we will get you some money back”. The whole “visit” with Dr. Miller was 5 minutes long (even though I spent 30 min waiting for him to tell me my appointment should have been cancelled with a phone call. I then had to wait in the lobby for them to figure out how to refund me my money. They took care of it and I went home.. then 3 Months later, I received a bill in the mail for $115 for my “office visit” I called the office and was ignorantly greeted by the woman at the front desk who was harsh and short with me. I waited for the office manager to get back to me. She said she would talk to him and look into it. I didn’t hear anything for a few days and I called back. The office manager said “oh yes, I thought about calling you. Dr. Miller has been on vacation, so I will talk to him soon.” She called me back the next day and said that he charged for a “short office visit”. So Dr. Miller only brought me in “not to waste my time” but really so that he had a reason to bill for it. I am completely disgusted with how he handled this, as this whole experience could have been a cancelled visit with a phone call. I have heard of several other patients that are disappointed with Dr. Miller taking over and I continue to advise everyone I speak with to go elsewhere. The nurse practitioners that worked with Dr. Lirette are still there and they are all absolutely fabulous, but I will no longer give my money to Dr. Miller due to his lack of compassion for his clients and his inaccurate billing procedures."
