"Only come here if you’re willing to wait in an exam room for an hour almost every time for a 2 minute appointment and be able to hear every single appointment through the walls next to you."
"Terrible/unprofessional experience with Dr. Charissa Pettyjohn. Brought my college aged daughter in for an IUD insertion and Dr. Pettyjohn had no bedside manner. My daughter was in terrbile pain and fainted in the lobby afte the procedure. Dr. Pettyjohn was laughing about it. I was very stressed and asked for a glass of water and was told they have no water bubbler so she finally went and got some tap water. I got my daughter home and called back asking to speak wtih Dr. Ashley Ackerman who was great on the phone. We had to go back to get an ultrasound to be sure everything was okay. We then saw Dr. Hannah Parker who was not helpful at all and seemed bothered that she needed to see us. I also witnessed one the nurses asking a patient personal questions in the hallway off the waiting room, which was very unprofessional and awkward. I went through 4 pregnancies at this office when Dr. Derna Demaggio was the head doctor and I think she would be appauled at the way the office is run and the lack of empathy from the current staff. Will be finding a new practice for myself and my daughters."
"I had a very positive pregnancy and birth experience with Commonwealth OB/GYN. We met and worked with all of the doctors throughout pregnancy, and felt very comfortable with whoever was on call at the time of our birth (it happened to be Dr. Leigh, who provided excellent care and a calm and helpful presence in our birth room). A few things I appreciated about the practice were 1. Responsiveness - every time I sent a question through patient gateway I received a response (usually from one of the OBs) almost immediately or within a few hours. 2. Inclusion of other care types - the practice works with an ultrasound practice and a lab in the same building and schedules those appts for you, so prenatal care is all in the same place 3. Inclusion of my husband in appointments 4. Standard of care to only do testing/interventions that are necessary. I had no "routine" ultrasounds past the anatomy scan or cervical checks near the end of pregnancy. The practice felt to me like it has a philosophy of only completing tests/interventions if they are warranted - which I appreciated in both my prenatal care and delivery."
"I had a great experience at Commonwealth OBGYN. I especially liked Dr. Ackerman, Dr. Parker, Ms. Sayegh and Ms. Shulman. They responded to my messages and solved my problems promptly. In the first few weeks after I enrolled at Commonwealth, I had lots of questions about pregnancy; Dr. Parker answered each of my questions in great detail. The staff were also super efficient and helpful. Whenever I had to do an ultrasound or a lab test, they would schedule the appointment for me. I later transferred to a different OB practice due to job relocation. They do not schedule ultrasound or lab appointments for me. Then I realized how great it was that the provider could just schedule the appointments for me."
"Absolutely amazing doctors, nurses and staff! I not only felt heard in my concerns, but I felt supported in my care. I was diagnosed with a pregnancy complication and required home care. The way they coordinated with insurance and other medical providers to ensure I receive the resources I needed in a timely manner not only made me feel like a priority, I felt as if I was treated like family! Wow! 5 stars is not enough."
