"I wholeheartedly agree with the other women who described Dr Vasilakis as condescending and rude. I also felt very violated. I truthfully felt from the moment she walked in that I was a burden, an annoyance on her schedule, and she announced “women at 47 don’t have surgery”. I was spoken at not spoken to. She could not have been in more of a hurry. She rushed out so fast and she came right back in to ask me if I’d “like surgery?”, without explaining what surgery she had in mind after announcing women my age don’t have surgery. She did a vaginal exam by annoyingly pushing my legs apart, as if she was being burdened. I will not be returning to this practice."

"I wasn't going to submit a review until I noticed that others had had a negative experience with Dr Vasilakis. I have to say that I spent 25 years trying to find a doctor who would listen to me about not wanting children and requesting a hysterectomy. My FIRST APPOINTMENT with her I explained to her what I had been dealing with for the last 25 years and she not only listened, empathized and supported me, she immediately made a referral for me to start getting scans to go forward with a hysterectomy. The providers she referred me to at NWH were amazing. It ended up that I had Adenomyosis that I had for YEARS and not a single doctor I have ever seen has ever even mentioned this condition. Dr Vasilakis will always be one of my favorite people on this planet. I had my hysterectomy 3 months after meeting her for the first time. She changed my life. I am forever grateful."

"This is the most condescending person I have ever met. As a doctor, at the very least treat your patients with respect and make them feel like part of their care. Dr. Vasilakis performed vaginal exams without consent: "I am going to" versus "Is it ok if I do...?". She talked to me like I was a 3 year old child and didn't know my own body and health and she was there to save me. She's cold, rude and doesn't appreciate questions or people who want to be involved in decisions about their own care. Stay away!!!!!!!"

"I have always had wonderful experiences with doctors however, my appointment with Dr. Vasilakis was terrible. She was unprofessional and incredibly rude. She conducted an exam without consent or any warning of what to expect. I felt incredibly violated leaving her office. Furthermore, her condescending tone and overall disregard for patient concerns made me reconsider the practice as a whole. Finally, she never called to follow up on test results! I thought my experience was unusual however, after more research, I found a whole slew of negative reviews and similar complaints."

"Dr. Vasilakis is a wonderful doctor. She is kind, caring and very intelligent. I saw her throughout my second pregnancy. When I went into labor, she wasn’t the doctor on call but took the time out of her day on a day off to call the delivering doctor to check on me. It speaks volumes about how dedicated she is to her practice. I can’t say enough good things about her. Dr. Vasilakis is the best."
