"It is sad to end up having a meeting with directors to find out that I needed to find a different place for my 2 years old daughter because they couldn't understand her and they told me she needed special care when she is not diagnosed with any neurological condition yet, I wished my daughter was treated as a regular kid not as a monster where ever teachers where scared of her with only 2 years, but I know god has better plans for my daughter, thank you little miracle!"
"I want to share my experience as a mother of two 19-month-old children, who used the services of this Daycare for almost a year. I must say that in appearance the center looks very good, and at the beginning they got my trust. One of my children bit another child on more than one occasion. Upon picking up my son I was notified 2-3 times that a biting had occurred. I always ask the teacher or the person who, in her absence, made me sign the document if there was something that I could do, if there was an action plan or something, in addition to apologizing for my child’s action. The answer was always the same, that's normal, these things happen. Well, one day after my son supposedly bitten a child, I received a text message from the owner of the care saying the following: "Please come to pick up so-and-so, he has bitten again. Unfortunately, we have to terminate care of him, I'm sorry." When I got to her facility, Sarah Powell told me that my child had bitten another child 5 times the day before!!! As a parent I wonder. These are the people that are taking care of my babies. Are these people the ones who have in their hands the education, and the development of our children’s first social skills? Do they have any type of supervision during the day? How can a 19-month-old bite another child 5 times and not body see anything or hear anything? This lady, Sarah, without having met with me, without giving me prior notice, without the least consideration, makes the decision unilaterally to cancel my service, IN A TEXT MESSASGE!! (I must clarify that this accident of the 5 bites did not happen under the care of their regular teacher Adriana, who always will have my respect, and affection because she always treated all the children very well, but mainly she showed constant communication every day, and effective feedback of my children's behavior). I also want to make it clear that, if this really happened, I feel really bad that because of the lack of supervision of the grown-ups who were in charge affected another kid, since we are talking about two children under two years of age.I still wonder if all this really happened or if she just needed an excuse to cancel my children’s services. Sarah sent a report detailing what happened. On that report she is saying that a child under her care had to be taken to the doctor because another 19 old month child bite him so bad that he needed medical attention, and nobody in the daycare saw what happen?? My son was treated like a monster in that report. This lady does not care for the children, and their emotions. When she wrote and sent this message, she didn’t think as mother, she didn’t show any type of empathy. She only saw a problem that she was not interested in solving, rather than getting it out of her business. My baby was a problem for her business. I am very disappointed with this place. I’m almost sure that this happen because we are Hispanic. what a coincidence that all the bad reviews are people with Spanish last names. There is discrimination in her words, she kept repeating me “I don't know if you understand me, and I don't speak Spanish”. Sarah my English is not the best, but I was able to understand you very clear. Due to her mismanagement, her lack empathy, and poor service my rating is 1. Thank you, because with your arbitrary decision you made me see that this was definitely not a reliable place, where there is no supervision, there is no direction, there is not a via to dialogue, not follow-up, there is not even the tolerance to give the corresponding 2 weeks when you no longer WANT TO HAVE A PACKAGE, SORRY, A CHILD in your center. My children deserve a place where they are treated with the same love, respect as other children with an English, Irish, French, or German last name and overall, for a place where every child is treated equal without discrimination."
"My two sons attended LMD due to their professionalism and proper care. I speak highly of Sarah, who always addressed any concerns that I had as well as put forth effective communication. I'm appalled at seeing the negative reviews from those attempting to disparage her business, particularly those who dont have an attending child."
"If I could give 0 stars I would, the owner of Little Miracle terminated my child from her program via TEXT so UNPROFESSIONAL . I was very transparent with Sarah before my child started in regards to my child’s speech delay and IEP she stated she understood and had experience.I personally initiated meetings etc. and kept in constant communication without warning was told they can’t work with special needs( IEP for speech delay no other diagnosis) I got a message asking to pick up my child which I did but then was told via TEXT 30 minutes later that effective immediately he cannot return. He had been having a tough two weeks and bit a teacher this past Monday (which I understands is not ok by any means) but still with No warning no meeting no further discussing NOTHING guess she doesn’t need to deal with my son since she now has “higher numbers”. REPLY to Sarah Powell’s message below: Now you’re saying he is using foul language ? Since when ? That was never reported to the parents or in any of the slips handed to us ? … also about the vouchers it’s not true you can contact Child Care Circuit it was a mistake on the processing on there own part which I spoke to the director about. Also only one week prior you contact Julian’s IEP program no plan was EVER implemented also we only had ONE meeting that I personally requested and it about the fact that I kept picking him up and he had an accident that wasn’t noticed till it was time to go. also Sarah please stop texting me to “discuss” this matter after the fact. I stick to my original message you are very unprofessional to terminated my contract via TEXT without a discussing or warning."
