"I love this place! The people are awesome, Always sharing stories and listening to yours. They do amazing work for very affordable prices. I had'em upgrade my ar15 internals, and didn't have a single problem! I couldnt be happier with there work. Ive boughten a few firearms off them as well and am super satisfied with everything they've done for me. I will continue to use this establishment for any and all firearm needs. I high recommend this place for newbie gun owners or seasoned firearm owners."
"Started off very reasonable and honest. 6 months into using him repeatedly, I realized any decent quality part inside the guns he sold, he would replace with cheaply made Chinese parts. 3 different repairs to a 9mm AR he sold me, he could never give a straight answer. He took internals of the CMC 3.5lb drop in trigger, then replacing them with unknown parts. Using a faulty diconnector he swapped out in that trigger, I then briefly had a full auto weapon. My Savage MSR15 rifle, normally comes stock with m4 replicated parts. The trigger was swapped, as well as the original m4 full auto bolt. The bolt alone is $400 quoted by savage arms. He put in a semi auto only instead. He then put a forward assist on my 9mm AR which made no sense. But also took my magpul rail covers. Watch what comes and goes when firearms are dropped off or bought. That was my own fault for not noticing sooner."
"I took a S&W 9mm pistol to Mr.White to have a red dot sight and a light put on it. He said he could do the work so I left my pistol and a $200.00 dollar deposit. When I picked up my pistol I payed the remaining $275.00 and went to my vehicle and put it away for the long ride home from Maine where I vacation every year. I'm from Massachusetts. When I arrived at home I proceeded to try and load a round but the slide would not cycle completely. The picatinny rail Mr. White put on the lower receiver had screws that were protruding and would not allow the slide to cycle completely. Mr. White never bothered to check if the pistol was working properly after he had completed the work. I thank GOD I didn't need my weapon. I live in a rough area. I spent the rest of my last vacation day fixing his unprofessional work. The gun works fine now. Update: Mr White called me as I was writing this review to apologize and give me a $200.00 dollar refund. He admitted that he was having a bad day and that he rushed the work. I had left him a phone message detailing my grievances. 2nd update: I received a check from J. White Gunsmithing on 8/23/2021,, as promised, in the amount promised. He kept his word and that's worth something these days. Perhaps, we will do business again."
"I had severe issues with a brand new Remington, and due to the bankruptcy I was told its my dollar to have it repaired. Jim replaced the barrel and bedded the action. Not only does it look great it’s a usable rifle again. I wouldn’t hesitate to have any work done J. White Gunsmithing."
