Reviews of Emily
"What a pleasant surprise Daniel & his team turned out to be! I’m always greeted with warm smiles and genuine pleasantries. The advanced skincare technologies & treatments they offer are exceptional. I’m glad I stumbled upon this hidden gem. Thank you Daniel & team!"
"After I using the products for 3 months and I did a facial, I removed all my pigmentation. I thought this was not possible and they were selling something not good. I am impressed with the results, I still saying thank you."
"I felt very overwhelmed by the sales person and every time I tried to say no that didn’t want to spend the money they were asking he kept making it sound like I was getting some type of deal. I ended up spending money I shouldn’t have. Not to mention after he used the products on my fast I have found my face breaking out for the first time in over a year. Now I’m stuck with products I can’t return nor will ever use. So frustrating. Also kept getting asked if I was married or had a boyfriend. Kept getting ask very personal questions and over all I was uncomfortable. Was offered free facial that I didn’t want and I did cancel those without much hassle. Also was not notified about the no return policy until after I left the place. Upon opening the products to look through them it appears that some of the products were previously used. Some of them smelled like cleaning products and hand soap. A few things reminded me of dish soap. So definitely frustrated that I got myself into this situation. Definitely won’t be returning. Paid off my products as soon as I was able so I don’t have to deal with it. But I will stick to my face care that works for me and is half the price."
"Emily in South Shore Plaza is amazing! They provided me great customer service , they provided me with products catered to my skin specifically and explained everything. From the results shown in their previous services I believe that these product will definitely improve my skin. The starter price for my four product routine is very affordable. I will be back."
"I had an uncomfortable experience at Emily in the South Shore Plaza in November 2023. I was walking by, minding my own business while looking for a birthday gift for my friend's son when I was stopped by an associate, Leo. He was trying to give me a free sample that I politely declined. He then asked if he could ask me a question and I said sure. As someone who knows people in sales and understands that people have jobs and are trying to survive in this world, I didn't mind answering a question. I waited outside the store while he went inside. Then he came back out and grabbed my arm and put me in a chair. He then proceeded to massage my arm with lotion. I have sensitive skin and break out easily, so I was trying to refuse this gesture. He stopped and then compared my arms against each other, showing me how my one arm looks "cleaner" than the other arm now. He then tried to push other product on me, and I said no. Being a compassionate person, I thought if I brought something for like $10 then I've done my consumer part. I asked him how much and he said $199. My jaw dropped. I tried getting up, not wanting to pay that much, and he said if I used all of the products that I would be glowing, and my acne would disappear. It was rude. I tried to leave, and he just kept pushing me back down in the chair. I then said that I will buy something but that I couldn't afford the expensive product. I was trying to buy something at the counter, when Leo decided that he was going to bundle all of the lotions for a price of a facial. He then asked about scheduling the facial and I told him no, that I didn't want the lotions or the facial. He then kept pressuring me to book a date and I said next year and rolled my eyes. He already had my card, so he swiped it for $371.88 stating on the receipt that it was a facial peel. He then had the facial guy who supposedly does it for all the celebrities put me in a chair. I kept refusing the facial because again I have sensitive skin, especially my face. He refused to listen claiming that his product won't make my face break out. As he started the facial with several creams, I started to cry. He asked why and I said that I can't afford a nearly $400 beauty supply. I have bills to pay and people who rely on me. He kept trying to tell me that I need to take care of myself and put myself first. He also commented about not seeing a wedding ring and how this could help with that. I am in a happy and healthy committed relationship without these products, thank you very much. I cried through the whole facial, and then they put a wet cloth over my face until I calmed down. They couldn't have anyone leaving the store with a blotchy red face. They gave me the 3 creams and a "free" hand cream. I will never go back here. They really get you with the no refund policy. There's also nothing relaxing about a forced facial. My skin was very dry and red afterwards. If somebody says "no, thank you" then you need to respect that."
