"This was my second time taking a river tour with Captain Gary. My parents and I agree - easily the best part of our vacation. Gary takes you by the most scenic locations along the river and tells you about the local history, culture, nature and wildlife. He’s incredibly knowledgeable and answers questions that you have and also is ready to give you recommendations for local restaurants and attractions to visit while you’re in the area. Gary also takes photos along the way, so that all you have to do is sit back and enjoy the ride! Laurie, his wife, makes the booking process seamless and is readily available to answer any questions you have via email prior to your trip. She makes the entire process before your tour incredibly easy! I plan on taking future river tours with Gary, and would highly recommend anyone visiting Maine to consider booking yourself a tour with River Run Tours! Absolutely phenomenal! Seeing Maine from the water with a local guide is second to none and Gary is the best guy to do that with."

"Seals, bald eagles, lighthouses, beautiful coastal homes, and fresh oysters! We had an absolutely wonderful trip with Captain Gary at River Run Tours out of Bath, ME in August 2023 (5 Islands & EROS Oysters boat tour). Educational and super fun trip. Captain Gary was knowledgeable, fun, and very accommodating for our family of 6, including a 4 year old and an 81 year old. The side trip to Eros Oyster Farm was a highlight for all. We learned about oyster farming and picked a bunch of tasty oysters! We will definitely be doing another trip with River Run Tours!"

"Great details and communication pre-tour. Captain Gary took us on the Five Islands tour with stop for seafood and ice cream. What a great time, with captain proving narrative and quiet time to enjoy this spectacular scenery. These are private tours and you can bring snacks and drinks on board, there is a pop-up tents style bathroom on board for emergencies only. We had great time and well worth the money for a private river cruise."
