"I took a group of 14 women kayaking and went through Bethel Adventure Tours. It was such an awesome experience! Even though it rained we saw a lot of wildlife such as bald eagles, a blue heron, and a kingfisher. Alex and Katy were very knowledgeable and we felt completely safe with them. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for an outdoor activity in Bethel, Maine. Their hospitality went above and beyond and we truly appreciate everything they did for us. "A river kayaking trip had been on my bucket list for a very long time, so I booked a half-day trip with Alex for my husband and me during a trip to the White Mountains. It was awesome! Safety is the #1 priority with Alex, which made the trip more enjoyable for me since my husband is much more comfortable on dry land than in water. Alex knows the Androscoggin River like his backyard and calmly directed us around the currents and nature's obstacles and instructed us how to maneuver through any situation, all the while making it fun. It was a highly educational morning as we learned how to about paddle on a river (that is a lot different than paddling on our lake), the river, itself, and the wildlife that included bald eagles, kingfishers, and a moose. Oh--and my landlubber husband? After it sunk in (no pun intended), he declared it a highlight of our summer that has included several trips to the White Mts and a cross-country road/bike trip! This was his second "adventure" with Alex and we are already looking forward to our next one."

"What an amazing experience! My elementary school aged boys and I went on a two hour private kayaking tour lead by Alex. I’m not typically an outdoorsy person but my sons are energetic and curious so I really wanted to do something fun for them. It was so worthwhile going outside of my comfort zone because they had a blast - Alex gave us an exceptional overview of the area’s wildlife of turtles, birds and beaver dam formations. But the highlight of our kayaking adventure was seeing an Eagle guarding over her nest! We appreciated Alex’s extensive knowledge of the area and helpful tips on how to kayak efficiently.
