"Absolute worst insurance I have ever had. I had to fight every single time I go to doctor, including my annual gyno appointment! My husband's employer pays $2,700 a MONTH and I can't even go to an annual appointment without a bill coming my way for the claim denied. DO NOT get this insurance. I am sure they will be investigated and we will learn some type of fraudulent activity is going on."

"Can someone investigate this company. . Currently 7months, under the plan standard high bronze:- monthly charge is $959.9/ per month for three people coverage, with ZERO risk factor or chronic conditions. . You have to choose the PCP from their panel, ( which is fine, according to the rules of HMO). But you ask them how much will doctor office charge for the first visit, they have no clue. They will direct you to the doctors office, to ask them how much is the charge. I mean this is ridiculous, the doctors office is from the panel preselected by Tufts insurance and all the rates are pre-negotiated with the hospital or the group. Then why do they hide the charges from the customer. . Anyway, finally got to visit the physician from the panel. Requested before going to the doctors office how much the visit is going to be charged, again, multiple vague answers with no real price tag. Four weeks later on a Sunday you get a fancy bit of $547, all of which $141 will be paid by tuft insurance company, rest 406 should paid from pocket, ie less than 25% of the service was paid by the company. Just to be reminded again you’re paying thousand dollars monthly for this insurance company, and btw shouldn’t I pay zero dollar to PCP visit when playing almost 1000$ monthly insurance ie 12,000$ yearly for medical insurance. . The biggest problem is you just simply cannot get out since you’re unhappy with the coverage you have to stick with this for the entire year . . Insurance, and especially medical insurance should proved security and peace of mind for the insurer, both of which are lacking in tufts health plan."

"I have NO PCP! I signed up for Tufts Gold Direct 5 months ago. My wife and I have both been on the phone with them over a dozen times. Tufts gives a list of providers, we call them, they tell us they don't take Tufts. This is the way it plays out every time. They charge us $1693.02 EVERY MONTH. We have spent $8461.10 and over 40hrs of our time but have received 0 care. I have serious medical conditions that require treatment. THIS IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. BEWARE!!"

"I must have gotten the right customer service folks. I've been with Tufts since basically the beginning, for 30 years. I had an issue because my old doctor retired and I had to pick a new PCP. Somewhere something was missed in the shuffle, and it effected referrals. I called customer service and got 2 ladies different time, Kelli, and Natalia, and they were outstanding. What customer service should be everywhere. They listened, took care of the issues, were extremely helpful and pleasant and everything is back on track. Thank you very much!"

"Worse insurance ever! I need a surgery now waiting 5 yrs! Tufts has denied me twice. How can they say I don’t need it, I live in constant pain everyday my sciatic, can’t drive nor sit. I’m taking opioids, they allowing me to continue with a serious epidemic of overdosing from the addiction leading to heroin! Tufts is allowing me to continue pain meds of oxicodone now for 5 yrs. Useless insurance but they do get their money every month! I hate Tufts, I despise them, I have no respect for such useless insurance! Unfortunately it’s the best of what my husbands company offers. Joke you people are. I need this surgery I’m sick and tired of laying down so much with pain. If anyone with a heart from Tufts reads this, I hope they have a heart. Thanks for giving me the option of maybe finding heroin. I had no choice to leave you one star, believe me you don’t even deserve that"
