Reviews of Tiny Cabins of Maine, LLC
"NGL, I was a little nervous by the “rustic” quality of the Tiny Homes of Maine but it was a great visit. The cabin IS small, but not cramped at all! it is so well laid and stocked with anything you could want. The wood stove inside is adorable (!!) and we were super comfortable for our 50ish degree overnight. They clearly put a TON of thought into provisioning and using the space well. She had headlamps, hammocks, lights and batteries and most importantly a coffee press. All instructions were simple and well placed. Having never used a composting toilet before, I’m totally sold for my cabin “up Nort”. Mosquitos were bad but she had tons of citronella and spray that kept us mostly comfortable. Loved the accessible pricing and would have gladly paid more to subsidize others. I’m already a huge fan and can’t wait to see how they grow!"
"My husband and I just spent the weekend in Maybelle, with our Labrador, and had the most amazing time! I can't say enough wonderful things about this property, but I'll try.. the over all vibe of this cabin can be summed up quite simply as home. As soon as you walk in there's a comfort that makes you feel as though you're coming back home, rather that showing up for the 1st time. It's made extra cozy with throw pillows and lap blankets to curl up and watch the fire or play a game of cards(Also provided, along with a few games). The extra little touches here can't even be described, but we're surely appreciated. Our cabin was clean and inviting and had a variety of salty and sweet treats to enjoy as we relaxed. During the day we enjoyed walking some trails through the woods and along the pond ( I would recommend boots/rubbers,depending on where and when you want to trek) There were places along the way to sit or hangout and the Pub was absolutely beautiful. Just a simple spot, just off the pond, with a small bar setup,a hammock and chiminea. At night it's lit with small twinkle lights and path is marked with lighted Mason jar lights. Absolutely adorable, but do take a flash light or the provided headlamps as trails can be rough, especially with damp leaf cover. The owner was super nice and was a pleasure to deal with... We've already booked our next stay!"
"Can't wait to come back!! We (two adults, one dog) stayed on Huey the Houseboat on the third weekend of September. The water was the perfect temperature for swimming, and the heater kept us warm at night. This was hands down, the greatest unique stay I have ever experienced. While the highlight was stargazing with the clearest sky I have ever seen on top of the houseboat on a comfy futon, there were so many other wonderful experiences. The owners know what they're doing and were super helpful, thoughtful, creative and kind. Their level of dog-friendliness was refreshing as they are clearly dog lovers. The houseboat is the perfect size and includes a kitchen, dining area, top deck (stargazing/jumping off), and a comfy futon to sit or sleep on. Paddle boards, complimentary snacks, beach/camping chairs, a futon on the top deck. Everything is decorated thoughtfully and practically. The entire stay was extremely photogenic and overall a great break from reality. We cannot wait to stay in one of the cabins. We had the opportunity to check-out their property and were impressed by the amount of thought they put into every aspect of this business. On their property, they have a pub area with an adorable set-up including a hammock and a great place for a beer, a fire-pit, and dock. Typically as travelers, we like to try new places. This is a place we know we want to go back to. We want to experience the different cabins, and see the beautiful land in different times of the year."
"Staying in Roxie was the perfect Maine getaway. Sherri and team have put a ton of thought into making the cabin cozy, but not crowded. The instructions for every piece of the cabin are clear and thoughtful, the outdoor space is great for relaxing, and the cabin is setup for whatever weather/season you stay there. Plus - DOG FRIENDLY actually means dog friendly. There are also hiking trails, a dock, multiple fire pits, a pub area overlooking the water, and clear parking areas. The hammock chairs for the porch were a nice surprise as well. We stayed an entire week and never felt too cramped or like it was too tiny. Excited to see how they utilize the land and continue to create unique stays."
"What an amazing place! Cabin was super clean and comfortable and had a lot of unexpected touches that made the stay extra special. Never left the property as there was plenty of fun stuff to do (hiking, kayaking etc or just relaxing in a hammock chair in the evening by the little pub in the woods). The owner, Sherri, is an awesome host. Will definitely book again."
