"Finch Cottage is a cozy gem! Conveniently located on Bristol Road, it is a short drive to many destinations. Owners Belinda and Ron Fletcher go out of their way to make you feel welcome. A vase of fresh flowers awaited us upon our arrival along with a bowl of fresh fruit. The cottage is fully equipped with everything you need including a full size washer and dryer, beach chairs, etc. Belinda is a native and is a wealth of information about what to do, where to visit and where to eat. There is also a basket in the cottage which contains tons of local info. Ron is a well-known, talented and highly respected artist and his studio and art gallery is next door to the cottage. Belinda is also a talented artist and their paintings adorn the cottage. Don’t miss seeing their fine work in the gallery! Our primary reason for visiting New Harbor was because the Kevin Costner film, “Message in a Bottle” was filmed there. Belinda directed us to some of the locations including “Shaw’s Fish and Lobster Wharf Restaurant” which serves wonderful, fresh seafood in a casual, waterfront restaurant. Belinda surprised us with a thoughtful departing gift of our own “Message in a Bottle” which capped off a perfect week. We would recommend Finch Cottage to families or adults who want to unplug and relax."
