"Place was disgusting when I arrived last year, multiple things broken, and plenty of other problems. My roommate and I didn’t make a big deal out of this issue until the end of the year when we had gotten slammed with over $800 in fees. $500 was for a door that had been broken; this door was the thinnest door I have ever seen, can assure you that it was not much stronger than cardboard. Something so cheap is prone to break in a short period of time and charging $500 is just sickening and not the right thing to do. I could’ve gotten a nice door and put it on myself for under $100, as I had even offered. Nope, they are a selfish company that is just looking for a couple extra bucks in their pocket. I never waste my time with reviews but this place had screwed me and my roommate over. Please do not rent from Golden Goose Properties, they are a bunch of scam artists"

"Such a great place for my daughter to live. Safe, clean, modern. I see these other reviews and am not sure if they are commenting on the Madco building but she and many of her friends had great experiences living in both buildings. We breathed a sigh of relief having her in such a great, convenient and safe place for two years!"

"I have lived at 5 Dennison road/the coops for the past two years and I have previously wrote 2 reviews updating my experiences with Golden Goose. The Bad: I signed my lease in October of 2016, the lease ran from June 10th 2017 to May 18th 2018 however by September 25th 2017 I had to resign my lease for the following year otherwise if I decided to stay after that date and did not sign again the rent would go up $100 a month. This applies to tenants every year. Wifi/cable and electricity is not included. Car parking is $675 a semester and $400 for the summer. So a total of $1750 a year... Here's the catch... nothing- when paying that much you would think they would wash your car for you, change your oil or even some 'common sense' landlord stuff like plowing the parking lot. I got one email all semester about moving my car to plow, when it snowed 10s of times... At 5 Dennison, there's a laundry room with 4 washers and 4 dryers, you have to pay for a specific card to use the machines and it only accepts 5s, 10s and 20s. Just another way to take our money. Another thing, a little over a year ago I sent an extremely long email expressing my concerns. The only reply I got back was notifications from my Linkedin account that multiple employees of Golden Goose Properties were looking at my account to see who I was, instead of emailing me back. Another thing, security needs to take a chill pill. Also fines are absolutely ridiculous for example, $50 fine for bringing your bike in your apartment. The Good: 5 Dennison road/the coops finally got a recycling dumpster after we express our concerns, we all appreciate this quite a bit. Also originally we were quite worried because we do not have control of the heat in our apartment, however it hasn't been an issue at all. Golden Goose makes sure it is turned on when necessary and it works pretty well. Golden Goose has also gotten better with communication and although we get bombarded with emails about testing for fire alarms and smoke detectors, we rather get emails before than random people walking into our apartment and fire alarms going off randomly. We appreciate the heads up. Maintenance is a blessing, they have always been extremely helpful and polite. Everything has been taken care of in a fast timely manner. They really know what they're doing, I truly hope maintenance gets the pay raise they deserve because they're the ones who have to deal with management every day."

"If I could give 0 stars I would. Literally the most incompetent property owners around. Only try to get as much money out of you as possible. They're a huge joke. They sent my roommate a complete stranger's social security info because they got their last names mixed up. A cabinet door fell off in our kitchen, and we discovered it was never in place from move in. Water from our dish washer back flows up into the sink. They advertise (and you pay for) air conditioning and heat, but they fail to mention that they are on based on the season, and you have no control over when you get AC or not. No regulation on loud bass speakers that make the surrounding apartments vibrate. The only good thing I can say is that maintenance actually responds within a 48 hour period (if you can reach them). I'm 99% sure they're going to scam me out of my security deposit for no reason."
