Reviews of O'Rourkes Bar & Grill
"The food was absolutely delicious!! I especially loved the French onion soup!! The service was exceptional and the restaurant was very clean! Will definitely be going back and would recommend to anyone looking for a great meal at a reasonable price!!"
"A consistently good time. We typically grab a meal here every time we visit family in the village. Our most recent visit was a perfect example of the consistency they have to offer. Quick service, attentive staff, good food, and a friendly atmosphere. Peak summer season or dead of winter this is great place that grab a bite and worth the wait if there is one."
"Our family stopped in for dinner tonight visiting the area. After a day of traveling and junk food, we had delicious meals presented almost perfectly. My two grandchildren, picky like all 6 and 7-year-olds, even ate their meals with none of the usual complaining. My blackened chicken strawberry salad was fantastic and my wife and daughter said their salads were delicious as well. My son-in-law's burger was nothing to rave about, but he said it was good nonetheless."
"O'Rourkes is not the sort of place I'd usually go. While I like pub type fare, I don't drink alcohol, so a certain part of the appeal of a bar and grill is lost on me. However, their food is still pretty good. The interior is very pub-like, but given the nice weather, be decided to eat outside. The chairs and tables are plentiful but could be better spaced apart. Sitting there, talking with my dinner companion - the day was perfect. Then they turned the music on. Blaring, loud - a sonic bazooka directed right at us. We went in and lodged a complaint, and the music was turned down, but I found it odd that they would just turn on the music cranked to full volume and not check to see what it sounded like foe the diners. *shrug* At least they turned it down with minimal conflict. I ordered the Corned Beef Reuben with tater tots on the side and was not disappointed - at least for the most part. The sandwich's rye bread was well toasted, there was a generous portion of perfectly sliced corned beef between the slices of said bread, a good amount of dressing... but the saurkraut was where they found defeat. There was nowhere near enough, and it did not have enough flavor, in my opinion. The tots were good, but aren't tater tots always good? Overall? The meal was average. A good but not great sandwich and good tater tots don't make the hour-ish trip to O'Rourkes worthwhile. I'd go back if I were in the neighborhood, but I'm never really in the neighborhood. I'd like to try out a few other things on the menu (Irish Nachos, Pretzel), but I don't see myself going back any time soon, as it is kind of a long trip, and the parking in the area is atrocious at best."
"This was my first time going to O'Roukes since we'll before Covid. The hostess at the door sucked. I swear she was seating whoever she wanted. Some other couple came in after us and the hostess let them sit wherever they wanted. My wife confronted her and she said they had a reservation but we heard the hostess speaking to them about working something out about getting a table. None the less they were seated before my wife and I. Grrrrrr. Then once we did finally get a seat an hour later, the waitress wasn't very good. She was friendly at first, but that's about it. Didn't get our order right, then made a comment like "what do you want me to do"? I probably won't return here. I don't think it was worth the time or Money for dinner"
