"Prior to my meeting Dr. Higney I had come to the conclusion that the horrible way I was feeling would remain with me throughout the remainder of my life. I felt rundown and exhausted by simple tasks, I was suffering from bouts of recollection problems and general confusion issues; along with phantom pains, and a very low white blood cell count. I had seen specialists who tried to help, but had basically told me that the body is a mystery and that they would recommend medications to eliminate my symptoms. I did not want to take medications for the rest of my life and I just wanted to feel like my former happy, energized self. This is where Dr. Higney came in.
