"Having been homeowners and then having to find an apartment to rent, it was nice to find Brown House offered 55 plus living, which was perfect for seniors. Everything is on one level, utilities included, respectful and polite maintenance workers, helpful office staff, always have time for a friendly conversation. When we wanted to change apartments within the building, there was no problem doing so. There is an outside area for BBQ 's or family get togethers, and a community room for group dinners, card games, and visiting. The company decorates the hallways for the holidays and encourages the residents to feel free to decorate as well. And you are centrally located to all amenities."

Chris and the maintenance team were ALWAYS done promptly and properly. Cindy in the office took great care of all our concerns. We would definitely recommend them!! Probably the best landlords I have ever had and I have been all over the country!"

"Know that you have rights as a tenant and Brown House tries to slide under the radar! Based on my experience they prey on people who are lower income. Apparently paying your rent on time, being drug free and having no noise complaints doesn't secure you a place here. Begging house seems more accurate. Literally begging for Maintenance whether it be to fix a window bc you can see the outdoors, it's rotting or mold in the ceilings. The washer and dryer they say you will have access to almost never maintained so you have access to broken ones. They'll wait to fix things after you leave. Brown House is lying telling new prospective landlords we were evicted even though legally we were not our lease was up and we were asked to leave. I asked what the reason was and I was told they did not need a reason our lease was up.They can ask us to leave but legally it was not an eviction. Funny how this came after actually having to put a habitability letter in to get a window fixed that I'd asked about before the pandemic. Not saying that's the reason just an observation. Before anyone says anything to this post it is productive just not for the company who doesn't like that they are being told the truth."
