Kennebec Behavioral Health, located at 66 Stone Street in Augusta, Maine, has been providing effective and innovative care since 1960. Specializing in evidence and community-based programs for youth, adults, and families, our mental health specialists serve central Maine communities. We offer employment opportunities for professionals interested in mental health and provide services at clinic and clubhouse sites across the region.

Our mission is to promote the well-being of children, adults, and families experiencing mental illness, emotional difficulties, or behavioral challenges. We envision a community where everyone enjoys physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. At KBH, we believe in treating every individual with dignity and respect, recognizing their unique strengths and needs. We also believe in providing services and interventions that have been proven effective.

Regardless of ability to pay, we offer services to individuals in need to the best of our financial abilities and serve as advocates for their well-being. In the 2023 fiscal year, our Prevention Services team provided trainings and participated in community events to raise awareness about substance misuse and use disorders.
