Reviews of Antonucci Jean MD
"Still by far my favorite primary care doc. Have not seen Dr Antonucci in years but remember the care. In fact I was looking her up to see where she was practicing to maybe switch and just wanted to drop her 5 stars. If she were closer I’d switch. I used to see her in Winthrop. I’m near Bangor now."
"I’ve had to rate myself as that is the only way to post. I’m unfamiliar Ms. Eck with what you were calling unprofessional comments in your chart .I find it that most common thing that happens is a misunderstanding as I strive to document very professionally. It would’ve been most helpful if you had felt, you could tell me directly so we could resolve this. I’m very sorry to hear, your comments and I strive to be as professional as possible as to the gentleman from Teladoc, and yes, a cough can last 2 to 3 weeks .I’m sorry if we had a miscommunication I clearly said that I was sorry that you were sick. Any of the over-the-counter products are usually well-known to people I didn’t know you had that question. Telephone medicine is difficult and since I can’t see your face sometimes I don’t know that people had an additional question and I would add, that, yes, actually Texas prescribing practices are well known and it’s very very hard to give good care to patients who have a different expectation I do strive to do my best by referring you to the mayo clinic I had hoped it more information would be helpful to you. It is difficult to be sick and I did try and expressed some empathy for you, I hope you will always let people know before you hang up that you had additional questions say, for instance, about what over-the-counter medicine to take. as to Ms Haywood that is a complicated situation and the family has a complex story. It is very painful to be called judgmental and cold. I do tend to be direct but I’ve cared greatly about my patients over the years. However, as doctors we can’t solve problems unless people let us know what happened . Over the years I have been known by many of my patients to apologize if something was my fault, but if somethings a miscommunication and told to me, I’m more than happy to straighten it out."
"HORRIBLE doctor. 1. She doesn’t listen to you AT ALL. 2. She will tell you all of the things NOT wrong with you and if you try to explain to her that’s not true she accuses you of yelling at her. Her attitude is horrendous and she make’s EXTREMELY unprofessional comments on people’s files. If you see her name, run."
"She is on Teladoc. No way would I recommend. I have been ill for two and a half weeks with a respiratory infection with zero improvement and this is her advice: Sadly, viral bronchitis lasts 2-3 weeks To make it even tougher it is well known everywhere that Texans have been getting antibitoics especially a thing called z pak for viral infections for yrs and z pak often cannot be used anymore due to over use. So I have an obligation to take good care of you but prescribing without listening to your lungs would be malpractice. Please read about bronchitis on the Mayo clinic web site. Sorry you are sick" Dr. Antonucci She knows the prescribing practices of Texas doctors?? She did not even recommend any over the counter products to alleviate my symptoms. Waste of money. Skip her and Teladoc and go to your primary physician."
"Dr Jean Antonucci prescribed methadone, percoset, vicodin and flexeril as "pain management" tools to my husband following a car accident in his late 20s, who then became quickly addicted to these painkillers. He begged her for any alternative. She gave him nothing but addictive pills. He was less than 30 when she decided his life sentence. Luckily he found freedom from pharmaceuticals on his own. When he no longer was visiting her every month for his deadly prescriptions and instead visited just once per year for his medical marijuana recommendation, she refused to give it to him without a return visit every three months. Then, almost ten years after carrying a balance for unpaid visits for his pill prescriptions she took him to court for rx visit money she had been unable to bill to mainecare. A doctor taking a patient to small claims court, to pay out of pocket for a problem she caused! She is an irrelevant nuisance to society and needs to retire before she does any more harm."
