"I had a rather unpleasant experience with Dr. Lorien Batt; she imposes her narrow beliefs on clients without leaving the freedom for the parents to decide (for instance to only feed an infant on fixed schedule, every 3 hours?) I like to get well informed about my options and the consequences. She gives no explanation whatsoever, just orders do this, do that, has a know it all attitude that is, looks down on parents in order to validate her worth. Fortunately there are better docs there to choose from; I was given her perhaps because she was the only one available."

"All of the pediatric doctors that helped in treating my son over a 4 day stay at the hospital were so attentive, caring, knowledgeable, and kind. I never felt rushed or unimportant and although I asked the same questions multiple times they were completely understanding and patient. The care that we received was exceptional from all of the staff. During a very stressful and horrifying time for myself and my child, it was so comforting knowing that he was in such great care. My family has decided to switch our primary care providers because we are so pleased with these doctors. Thank you to all staff that helped in treating my sweet little boy!"

"Dr Whitt is horrible and threatening. He doesn't care about his patients, and does not have very good knowledge. I will never bring my children to him, and will not allow him to see my newborn at the hospital. I will request one of the other pediatricians."

"Very disappointed by doctors in this office. We have been patients in the office for a year and a half, seeing all 3 doctors (Dr. Civiello, Dr. Schumacher, Dr Whitt). First of all they treat parents with disrespect and do not listen to parents. Dr. Civiello: He discharged my newborn son on the second day after birth. Thanks God the nurse noticed that the son didn't breathe right and insisted on tests. Blood work and x-ray showed respiratory infection. Dr. Civiello prescribed a big dose of antibiotics without telling us about side effects (the antibiotics can cause hearing loss). My son had bad skin rash and I had concerns about my diet as a nursing mother and his answer was that my food didn't affect the baby. After my research, mother's food affects the baby and it occured that my son had allergic reaction to Hood milk. Dr. Schumacher gave me hard time treating me as I was an irresponsible mother when I refused to get my son vaccines because he didn't feel well at that moment. I am pro vaccines person. But I am against vaccines when my kids have fever, don't feel well in general, and one shot per month, as recommended by respectable doctors of the country). Not 3 shots from 6 diseases at the time as they do in the office. I am from another country and we do not bring kids to the hospital as per demand. Pediatricians come home when kids need. Everytime when I brought my son to the Franklin Memorial hospital for check-up, he got sick that day. I refused to go to the hospital with no need. Besides that medical knowledge of doctors in this office is poor and listening to them I felt that I talked to mediaeval doctors. Dr. Whitt, being my last hope at that office, treated me as if the hospital had more rights over my kids than me as the parent. I had the second baby in December. The baby was healthy and I cancelled 2-weeks check-up. Why would I bring the healthy newborn to the place where sick people come? I have scale at home and checked weight gain at home. The nurses called me everyday insisting on bringing the child to their office. I refused. Then they threatened me to report the state on me for not bringing the child. They did. This office has violated my parential rights multiple times. I left the message Dr. Whitt to call us. Nobody from the office called us. After pregnancy and especially birth mothers have unstable hormones, sleep deprivation, exhaustion taking care of newborns, in this office instead of support they give more stress and threats to mothers. After my experience and hearing other stories of local people, I do not trust those doctors."
