The paint job they did on the car is literally like factory. It has less orange peel than my brand new factory painted 2023 durango. I still look at it a week later and am blown away. Dave, Bobby, and his crew had to deal with headaches of aftermarket parts that were already on my car when I bought it and then the headache of me turning it into a custom widebody. I know this was difficult for them but they did EVERYTHING they could to make sure it came out flawless, and it really shows. "I had been looking for a custom shop to modify a 2006 Jeep Wrangler, Unlimited (the LJ) for at least a couple of years. There were definitely some good places but the age of the vehicle limited a lot of my options in terms of what they could do for me. On my way up route 146, I saw the sign for 146Kustom so I turned in to talk with the front office. I left my number and the very next day got a call from Carol. I explained some very preliminary ideas and a budget. She immediately got to work and within days sent me options. The 2006 LJ is not super common and getting parts that fit is hard. Carol told me, "We're a custom shop, if we can't get the parts, we'll make them for you". It was a very can-do attitude right from the beginning. We worked together for the following weeks as we shared more ideas and added to the list. I met the guys in the shop and the owner, Joe, along the way. They made so many suggestions based on what how I wanted the Jeep to look, and all of them were great. They modified the Jeep completely. By the end of about 5-6 weeks they had the Wrangler looking new! The work was professional and meticulous. They paid attention to every little detail. Carol always followed up (even when I didn't), communicating about everything. The pricing was fair and upfront, and they advised against certain things to make sure I am not wasting time and money. I am 100% going to keep working with 146Kustom for more additions and for my other vehicles. I highly recommend the place to anyone looking for even the slightest modifications!"
