"The caretakers at the Kerebear in Standish have been so wonderful. My child started to attend at 10 weeks old and they have been so supportive and patient with his transition. He has really taken to his teacher and the director is so great at answering questions and giving advice. They keep us updated all day on feedings and naps and even send pictures. It’s so reassuring to know that our child is in good hands all day and that they love having him there."
"I do not recommend Kerebear to parents who choose to follow an eating and napping schedule for their infant. We were told by Kerebear that they feed and nap based on the child. Our 8 month old naps 2x a day and takes a bottle 4x a day with solid snacks in between. This was apparently too confusing for them to follow and the 2 days a week he was in their care, they’d only have him nap once in the morning for an hour or less. By pick up at 5pm, he’d be exhausted and have a hard time staying awake until bedtime so we were forced to do bedtime early, causing him to wake up in the middle of the night. They also do not keep their main entrance locked and with their open door policy, anyone is allowed in the building at any time of day. Lastly, we decided to pull our son from their care when they neglected to give him a bottle until we confronted them about it at 3pm one afternoon (after being dropped off at 8:20am) meaning our infant went from 7am to 3pm without proper nourishment. When we brought this up as a concern, our feelings were completely dismissed, we were accused of being “demanding” parents, and the owner (Kerri) did nothing to attempt to fix the issue or keep her reputation. She went as far to say “sorry we gave your son his bottle 1 hour late” (not true- he was almost 5 hours late on being fed), degraded me as a mother and attacked our parenting style, pigeon-holing us as “not being a good fit for childcare centers.” Our experience was awful with this childcare center and we do not recommend them to parents in the community. There are many other facilities who will respect your wishes and concerns as parents and not mock or degrade you."
