Time Of Wonder Early Learning Center is a non-profit institution located at 407 York Street in the picturesque town of York, Maine, United States. Our center caters to infants through preschool-aged children and is situated in the beautiful York Harbor, just steps away from Fisherman’s Walk and York Harbor Beach. At Time Of Wonder, we believe that quality early education should be accessible to all families and should focus on nurturing the hearts and minds of children.

Our center offers a combination of traditional preschool lessons, play-based learning, and place-based learning to foster a sense of wonder and curiosity in young children. With three classrooms serving the greater York area, we strive to provide a fair tuition rate and welcome families who qualify for Child Care Subsidy.

We believe that childhood should be a time of joy, filled with stories, songs, and imaginative play. Our day is softly structured to provide a predictable routine while also being flexible to accommodate the needs of each child. Our teachers offer lessons in math, science, literacy, phonics, and phonemic awareness, and welcome community members to join us for storytime and music class.

At Time Of Wonder, each child is treated with warmth, love, and respect. Our teachers are attuned to the emotional needs of young children, providing positive reinforcement, encouragement, and gentle corrections when necessary. We are fortunate to have a wellness coordinator on staff who prepares balanced meals with fresh, local ingredients for breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack each day.
