"Kelsey and John were awesome host. We enjoyed visiting with them and listening to their excitement for their plans for the inn. They have recently purchased the inn and have so much passion and ideas for the inn. The room was very clean, cozy and quiet. Will be back in the future. Breakfast was good, lots of hot water for showers and beautiful grounds. Our room ( lookout) had a view of the water ."
"Our stay at The Harpswell Inn was excellent! It’s a beautiful old inn that shows the original charm complete with beautiful woodwork and flooring. The rooms were clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the shower was hot. Kelsey and John are the new owners and they have done a great job making the Inn enjoyable. There are Adirondack chairs spaced out around the property and rocking chairs on the Inn’s wrap around porch – borrow one of the blankets from the living room if it’s chilly outside! There is a large living room with a gas fireplace and comfy chairs to relax in, a game room with all sorts of board games, a self-serve 24-hour coffee/tea station, and delicious breakfast offerings each morning. Get a bottle of wine or a local beer (complete with glasses to use outside) from the honor system bar in the living room and take a short walk down the hill to catch a gorgeous sunset! The location is truly incredible. It is quiet and private – I curled up in a chair outside every morning with my coffee and enjoyed the early misty light. We spent a day exploring Harpswell, Orr’s Island, and Bailey Island meeting some friendly people every place we stopped. Brunswick is right up the road, Freeport and Bath are both about about ½ hour away should you decide you want to leave peacefulness of the Inn. We will definitely be back and look forward to seeing the changes that Kelsey and John are planning!"
"This was our second time staying at the Harpswell Inn and to our delight it is now under new ownership. The new owners haven’t owned it for very long, but it in the short time they’ve owned it they have made some wonderful changes. The main rooms all seemed brighter and welcoming. When we arrived, we were greeted by Kelsey (owner) who gave us a tour of the downstairs, which consisted of a main room, game room, and breakfast area. There is coffee available all day and they also have a few snacks available. We stayed in the Captain Curtis room which has a balcony that you share with others guests. It was great to sit outside and have a view of the water. You could also sit on their wrap around porch and eat breakfast or just relax. Breakfast was simple and consisted of hard boiled eggs, bread, yogurt, fruit and some sort of pastry. You can take a very short walk down to the ocean to see a beautiful sunset. Kelsey and John were both great hosts and we look forward to visiting Harpswell again."
"We had a great one night here. Kelsey greeted us and we wish them all the luck in the world as the new owners of the Inn! This is an old, but beautifully preserved inn. Downstairs, there is a very nice big room/lounge that overlooks the gorgeous view of the bay through large windows. A big porch to sit in Adirondack chairs Our room was large and beautifully decorated, all very clean. Breakfast was great with fresh-baked coffee cake and yogurts (yummy!) fresh blueberries, coffee and tea, just right, nothing too heavy. I highly recommend!"
"We had a beautiful stay at the Harpswell Inn. The new owners Kelsey and John are so accommodating and informative of what's going on in the area. The rooms were clean and beautifully decorated. The morning breakfast was very nice, better than Hotel breakfasts. The views are gorgeous and the close proximity of Henry Allen's Seafood on the docks was great. Brought home some beautiful lobsters. Thank you Kelsey and John for making us feel so welcome. Definitely will go back."
