"I stayed here for a week and was very comfortable. The inn keepers are very friendly and care deeply about your experience. The rooms are beautiful and the beds are comfortable. I appreciated the access to filtered cold and hot water. It’s a relaxed and homey environment. And the dog is very sweet!"

"I had a wonderful stay here during a week-long conference at near-by Bates College. My room was wonderfully appointed and I have to mention the buttery-soft towels. While everything was pristine, it was also home-y and cozy, something that is hard to come by in hotel rooms. The Inn itself is stocked with coffee, tea, little snacks, and even re-usable water bottles you can take with you. There are other little touches throughout like spare toothbrushes and deodorant wipes, which came in handy when I ran out on the last day. Super easy in-and out system with the locks. The hosts were fantastic and attentive. High recommend!"

"Inn at the Agora is an old heritage building that started it's life as a private residence in the 1850's before being converted into a priory of some sort by the church. Now it's a charming inn. We honestly loved this place! Our room was huge! Our bathroom was huge! AC and wifi were included. Everything was clean and neat. They even have an adorable resident pup who acts as official greeter and all-around cutie patootie. It's a little dated (d'uh it's a heritage building!) and it's a bit pricy but the location is great, parking is readily available and everything is complementary. They had unlimited complementary snacks, water, toiletries if you forget something, etc. They don't serve breakfast but they give you a coupon for two different restaurants that are within walking distance. The owners / employees were so friendly. I've read reviews in which the guests said they felt like they were at home - I confirm this is true. Extremely enjoyable stay! The only drawback - and it really isn't a drawback, just something you should be aware of - the neighbourhood is a little sketchy. The inn is also across the street from a park where homeless people, drunk people, students, etc tend to hang out. However, the vicinity of the inn is well lit and there are security cameras so we had no issues. We even left our bikes chained to the fence while we jaunted around and no one touched them. Highly recommend this place if you're in the Lewiston area! Loved it!"

"I cannot recommend the inn more! I had never been to Lewiston, and was very weary of booking in a hotel I had never seen before. I called ahead to get a feel, and my anxiety was IMMEDIATELY set to ease. The staff are all so friendly, hospitable, and caring and Bailey Bear is such a good girl! If you visit, be sure to give her lots of pets—she’s sooo lonely :). Any need you have, the staff are eager to fulfill it. Though, Lewiston isn’t Hollywood and any negative comment I could make about the area being “less than 5 star,” is simply a reflection of being a smaller town in Maine, though there’s little negative I can say. There are signs of poverty in the area, and homelessness plagues everywhere these days, but neither affected our trip what so ever. Cameras all around the outside, and a very secure keyless system make the property safe and secure while offering the ease of not carrying around a room key. Despite any downsides the city itself has, we had amazing food from local restaurants suggested by staff(and enjoyed our coupons from Forage Market!), kept busy enjoying the local down town, which would have been a very quick walk from the inn, had it not been too cold for us to trot that far. We loved seeing the park lit up with Christmas lights, and would really enjoy the courtyard in springtime! Though there is no continental “breakfast” many chains offer, there is a pantry loaded with more snacks than you can imagine, and amazing local places where $20 can feed 2 people a better breakfast than Hilton will ever feed you. We stayed in the Gleason room. Our room was spotless, and covered with tiny little surprises that show the love and care that go into each room, such as a rubber ducky next to the tub(which was super clean!) and fresh bathrobes in the closet. As the owner of a cleaning company for short term rentals, I was DELIGHTED to know that all the beds have bed protectors, a tiny detail that few think of unless they really put cleanliness as a priority. I could rant all day about how amazing our stay was, the food in the area was incredible and this inn is truly a Diamond in the ruff. If you’re debating between staying at the locally owned inn, versus a big chain place, I can assure you that between the local history and the endless charm of the staff and owners, you will be behooved to choose the Inn at Agora. We came to Lewiston for work, but we will be returning for the inn."
