About the Business
Mac's Camping Area is a family-friendly campground, lodging, and park located at 73 Larch Drive in Poland, Maine, United States. Our 2024 camping season runs from May 10th through October 14th, and we currently have a few campsites available for the season.
Our seasonal rate is $2,700, which includes 9% Maine state sales tax. A deposit of $900 is required to hold a campsite, with the remaining $1,800 due by May 10th, 2024. Seasonal campers have access to 30-amp full hookup sites and are expected to maintain their campsite to appear presentable.
We are a small, family-run campground with a close-knit community of campers. Our mission is to keep rates low and affordable for all families, and we offer a range of activities and amenities for our guests to enjoy. Swim at our private beach, fish from our dock, or relax in the sun - the possibilities are endless at Mac's Camping Area.
In addition to RV sites, we also offer three tent sites next to the lake, each equipped with water and electricity, a fire ring, picnic table, and trashcan. Our facilities include a bathroom with flush toilets and showers, as well as a playground, horseshoes, and family-friendly activities.

"We had a wonderful weekend renting an RV at Mac’s. The RV was very clean and well kept. The family running Mac’s is so friendly and professional. The lake is beautiful and peaceful! My kids stayed in the water the whole weekend. It happened to be “water works” themed weekend and there was a waterslide into the lake and games for the whole family. So much FUN for everyone. The kids kayaked, canoed, paddle boarded and caught fish. We will be back soon!"

"We have been seasonal campers at Macs for over 10 years. Macs is family oriented for sure. It's simple camping. There are no video games for parents to spend money on. There is a lake for fishing and/or swimming. There are family activities, potlucks, and some breakfasts and dinners hosted by the campground for a reasonable fee. If you want quiet you can find it there. If you want to socialize with friends and have adult beverages you can. We enjoy our camp family very much and feel fortunate to be part of a such a wonderful campground."
"We love Mac’s Camping Area! This is our first year as seasonal campers at Mac’s and we couldn’t be happier. The best part about it is the people – the ones who run it and the ones who camp there. Everyone has been so welcoming, friendly and helpful. They work hard to offer events and activities that are fun and create community. We’re also grateful for the hard work that goes into keeping the campground so nice. The grounds are beautiful, the lakefront is kept neat and personal touches are evident everywhere. The size of the campground means that everything is close, fairly level and easily accessible, which is important for my elderly parents.
