"Great, quiet place to stay. Continental breakfast, free bikes during your stay, convenience store across the street has great food. Nice Dollar General a little ways down the street. Shuttle was $30 from East Flagstaff and a bunk $40"
"We loved our stay at Terrapin. It was so clean and comfortable. Lauren was awesome and made sure we had everything we needed and gave us all the great tips on the area. Definitely recommend staying here while in Maine. 10/10 we will be back again!"
"Terrapin is a little further away from the Appalachian Trail but it's got the best. Lauren gets to be more relaxed with breakfast and his ability to shuttle. The bunks are very comfortable and priced great, the resupply in town is way cheaper than most grocery stores you'll find in Maine, the hostel itself is quiet and has a lot to do, billiards, board games, free to use bicycles, and an on-site laundry machine."
"A beautiful place set within walking distance of the Carrabassett River, 20 minutes from Sugarloaf Ski Resort, and surrounded by gorgeous countryside. Plenty of space for a group to stay and Lauran's hospitality and knowledge of the area was great. He knows where to direct you for whatever you're looking for in the Maine countryside. Would definitely recommend a visit to Terrapin Hostel. Will stay again."
"Beautiful house conveniently located in Kingfield. Stores and shops well within walking distance. 2 ski resorts nearby. Excellent hiking location. Lauran, the owner, is a great host. Highly recommend this place and hope to return someday soon."
