"We first reserved site 123 but thought it was a little too open for us so we asked if we could switch to site 40 which is more wooded. The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly! The campground itself was very quiet because we stayed the second weekend of September. The bathrooms were clean. Showers are separate from the toilets. Campsites are regularly picked up and checked after people leave. There are animals to see throughout, we saw rabbits, frogs, bats, various rodents and lots of birds! The beach area and boat launch are awesome! The water is crystal clear and shallow. There is a changing room and bathroom area at the beach, as well as a large playground area and covered picnic tables. The trails that run along the lake have picnic tables and grills scattered in the woods. The boat launch has a nice dock, plenty of parking and a good loop around road for trailers. Though we didn't have much luck fishing at the boat launch it was a beautiful view and we are definitely coming back next year!"
"This is by far the WORST hotel I have ever been too. The room service is non-existent, the walls offer little to no privacy, and when I asked someone for extra towels they just laughed at me?!? As a state forest and nature park it is A+. The medium sized sites are perfect for tenting out with a small family and a packed up SUV. Some sites even allow dogs which is nifty. The sites are regularly cleaned and cleared out before and after each guests stay and the latrines are checked and stocked every morning. From 11am-130pm the powered bathrooms and showers are closed for cleaning. If you choose to take a shower, bring a sturdy box to stand on. If you choose to use the latrines, you will smell like one. But the park is beautiful, kept up with, and employs some pretty cool people. There are also A LOT of things to do with kids of all ages and even some really fun looking educational stuff (like jr ranger programs and what not)"
"We love it here. The campground is great and clean. The facilities are clean and accessible. Webb Lake is serene and (in season) warm. We have been twice and will be back."
"We ended up having to move from #50 to #44 as there was no way to get our 35' MH level in #50. However, the rangers were very helpful in identifying #44 for us. Great campsite - wooded, couldn't really tell that we had neighbors. Only a few sites have E/W hookups, and #44 does not. Bathrooms/showers were clean and serviceable. It rained quite a bit while we were there so we didn't get out on the trails. The camping rate (out of state) was $30/night x 4 nights. However, $10 in tax and $20 reservation fee drove the final cost to $150, or $37.50/night. We camped at Mount Blue State Park in a Motorhome."
"We had a lovely time at this park, found the staff very friendly and helpful. They helped us find a spot so we wouldn't have to move 4 times like I had set up online thru reservations. We left multiple times with gear and a kayak left out and had no problems with theft as someone else described. I enjoyed running on the newly paved roads. It was a mile from our campsite to the road and .5 miles from office to boat dock. We walked swett road but found multiple loose dogs along it which I try to avoid while running. Loved the free showers too, they do vary in temperature and pressure. Great hikes nearby!!"
