Western Maine Yurts

"Absolutely gorgeous yurts! We spent a fantastic winter weekend as a family in the Ellis yurt and it was so wonderful! We have stayed at other yurts around Maine and there are definitely our favorite! The bathhouse was wonderful, the yurt was phenomenal and all the small touches are so appreciated. Great communication and the trails around the property were fun to snowshoe on as a family! We will be back!"

"Our first stay at Western Maine Yurts and we loved it! Tricia and Alex did a great job communicating and helping with anything we needed. Cute, warm, comfortable space. The bathhouse was exceptional and so clean! Lots of nice touches in the yurt including a binder with many things to do in the area. Close to Sunday River, plenty of nature trails nearby, great coffee shops and restaurants including our favorites Le Mu Eats and Steam Mill Brewing. It was nice to just relax at the yurts as well- walking their trails, hanging by the SoloStove fire, and playing cribbage in the cozy lighted ambiance. Can’t recommend enough, we will be back!"

"My husband and I went away for an anniversary weekend. We needed a place that was dog friendly for our Goldendoodle, Mochi. We had an amazing time. The yurt was beautiful inside and out, we had a wonderful time. The bathhouse was brilliant also, it looks and feels like a lot of TLC goes into these yurts and the property in general. Stairs were shoveled and sanded prior to our arrival which we appreciated very much. Staff was very friendly and easy to reach if necessary. We will absolutely be back again. Thank you, so much, for an unplugged weekend we needed so badly."

"I will be very honest, I am NOT a camper. Or even a glamper. But I decided to put aside my fears and went for this Yurt experience. And boy am I glad I did!! The yurt we stayed in was so beautiful!! The furnishing, the decorations, the lighting all worked to make it feel homey, comfortable and safe. The doors lock so you don't have to worry like with a tent about your belongings. There is a sink and a stove in your yurt so you can easily make anything you need. The bath house is one word - AMAZING!! Pristine in it's cleanliness, and the amenities were wonderful. Shower had excellent water pressure, spots for all my toiletries, and changing area. Bathrooms were roomy. Electricity so I could blow dry my hair (essential for a non-camping girl like myself), it was air conditioned so it was a lovely respite from the sometimes muggy Maine summer weather. The grounds are immaculately maintained. Very welcoming and wonderful. Yes, you need to bring you own bedding, towels, etc, BUT that makes it even more homey. All in all, a wonderful experience. Kudo's to the owners who came up with this brilliant idea! Thank you!!"

"So, this is a good location, and the yurts are great - very cute and charming. But the most important part of this review is next...the facilities (from the yurts to the outhouses to the bath house) are PRISTINE! Spotless! Whoever is doing maintenance there takes their job very seriously. It made for a really comfortable and relaxing visit."
