Reviews of Greenville Inn at Moosehead Lake
"My husband and I spent Christmas at the Greenville Inn and it was one of the best hospitality experiences we've ever had. I have to give a shout-out to the innkeeper Catherine! She was an absolutely extraordinary host. She was so kind, helpful and cheerful. She made our stay so wonderful. The building, grounds and view are gorgeous, but it was the food and the service that really wowed us. We will be back, and I hope Catherine will still be working there--owners, please pay her well and ensure you retain her!!"
"We were a little road weary and this inn was a soothing, uplifting balm. The staff was fantastic; kind, couteous, informative, and looked out for us to be as comfortable as we could be."
"My friend and I are staying here now. There was a little confusion about which cottage we were in when we got here but they had actually given us a free upgrade at no cost! The owners are very responsive to texts and super friendly. I am looking forward to the rest of our stay and celebrating our 30th birthdays together!!"
"We had a very nice stay. The historic home is charming. Coffee, tea, cookies and self-serve bar are available round the clock. We opted for the Lumber Baron room because the forecast led us to believe we would be in the room most of the visit. We also wanted the option to have our own sitting room away from other guests if we wished. This worked out well. The bed was very comfortable! I felt like Cinderella. The shower, however, was tight even for me. My partner had it even worse. He is 6’2 and 225lbs. Breakfast is served between specific hours. One morning, the manager surprised me with the most delicious meal due to my dietary restrictions. Speaking of the manager, she’s fantastic and a great hostess. Regarding options, we had booked the cruise but were notified due to weather the excursion was cancelled. We were offered the Wilderness tour. We agreed. It basically consisted of a 3 hour truck drive. Captain Paul was sweet and informative, but we saw no animals and the tour was of a limited area. I was shocked to see the cost at checkout; not worth the cost for what it was. We understand there were guarantees but would have expected more for the cost. Overall, we would stay here again and feel you’ll have a nice stay if you book here."
"We stayed in cottage number 1 with our 2 young children sleeping on the pull out couch. They loved both the main house and our cottage. The cottage was very clean and smelled wonderful. The inn keeper’s whole family was a delight. Erin offered up so many things we never even expected. When the ice cream stores in town were closed for the night, she pulled out this amazing ice cream cone from their freezer for my kids that was covered in sprinkles, and had cookie dough in the base. It is a great location if you want to frequent the Greenville shops and restaurants and outfitters. Every staff member there was beyond courteous and kind. The breakfast is very yummy and we didn’t know this before we came, but you can even make reservations for dinner at the Greenville inn. I wish we would have known that in advance. Next time for sure. :) We would stay here again, no question."
